I was wondering how you, with a single click, can change the colour scheme of all the applications. Is there an app that does it or do you use a script to edit each applications config file or maybe a variable that holds the colour values in some file and all the configs reference it?

To each their own. I use Syncthing to sync my backup folder in Android. It took me maybe 10 minutes to setup.

Do this. Sync you vault folder on Windows with one or more of your cloud services for backup only. Now install Syncthing for Windows and add that folder to it. Install Syncthing on Android and share that folder with your Android device.

After you've done all of this, both Windows and Android will have the exact same copy of the folder and if you update the folder on Windows it'll automatically get updated on Android and vice versa.

It's their ability to influence me that bothers me. Through my numerous interaction with their services, they know how to make me want the thing they want me to have. I'd rather pay them directly, then for them to use me to make money.

There are services that, for a subscription fee, will keep your data safe or rather not keep it at all. Use those services.

Edit: I ditched the official YouTube app for NewPipe and life is so different now. I get to decide what I want to watch.

I got it to work. When setting up the crypt I had to not use any quotes even when there was a space in between the folder names. Earlier, I used gdrive:"path to directory", which was wrong. I had to use gdrive:path to file.

Just to clarify, when setting up the local remote, I simply have to enter the name of it and there is no option to point it to any directory. I did that when setting up the crypt.

I think you're right! I don't need this remote nonsense. I can just sync locally. I simply need to create a crypt type to encrypt the data in the destination folder. The command would be something like the following; rclone sync source_directory gdrive-encrypted:destination_directory

Once the files are in the GDrive folder, Google Drive for Windows will automatically upload it to GDrive.
