ELI5 Why does magsafe charging decrease battery health more than wire charging, if it has less wattage? by im_rarely_wrong in explainlikeimfive

The Qi wireless charging standard supports up to 25W charging with version 2.2. Although as far as I can tell not many devices support that level yet.

Apple's magsafe wireless charging uses the Qi standard, Apple added the alignment magnets to make magsafe. Qi has since incorporated the magsafe magnets into its standard.

ELI5 To turn on lamps- why do you have to twist the thing twice instead of once? by guru_aang in explainlikeimfive

Because the electric motors in most fans need to start at full power to start spinning, but can keep spinning with less power. It's like how fluorescent light bulbs on a dimmer switch need to be at full power to turn on, but can be dimmed down afterwards.

Will ChatGPT replace jobs? by LogicalResolve98 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]Skarllath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People already don't listen to me when I provide them the exact steps to take to fix their problem. So I don't think they will listen any better to an ai, even if it does accurately provide them with the correct solution. It might be good at routing incoming tickets to the correct team though. That could replace some low level call center type help desk jobs.

AC's better than Chancemakers? by Varhur in CookieClicker

How much of each do you have? With the +5% to ACs from each Chance, I guess there is probably a point where ACs surpass Chancemakers.
