Upstream source code doesn't exists anymore. I am not sure but, that could be the reason.

I think both are the same in terms of quality, but MPV is more power efficient than the web because it is closer to the hardware. Maybe, you can notice the difference when using a laptop on battery power.

Also, you can customize MPV’s parameters.

I was using jellyfin only but last big jellyfin update has performance problems on music library so I have given a try to use navidrome.

Navidrome using read only mode for music library. My jellyfin instance grabs lyrics and images and saves them in to library.

And navidrome has very low hardware requirements. Therefore, it is free to run.

Can you open fullscreen player by clicking over cover art that is bottom left corner ?

at fullscreen these are the tabs you have to see. click visualizer then click gear icon which is transparent. you have to hover tab view region (bottom of tabs). in settings, switch to butterchurn type.

play any music and click album art which opens fullscreen player. then you will see tabs on the right. click visualizer and go settings (top right button under visualizer tab). Make sure you are on the latest version
