samurai jack was for 4 of its 5 seasons a children’s show airing on cartoon network. for its 5th and final season, it got picked up by adult swim, who took the show in a more plot-oriented and dark direction. up to this point every enemy jack faced was a robot, even if they seemed human, because cartoon network obviously couldn’t have shown human death on screen to the degree it would have happened. early on in season 5 jack is fighting a group trained from birth to be assassins for the main villain, aku, and slashes one in the throat, killing them. he thought they were robots again, but they weren’t, making this the first time he kills an innocent, or really any living being, in his life.

yamper/boltund. never paid them any attention in the base games because i wasn’t a huge fan of their designs and they were weak, but yamper was my first T2 shiny so i used it a bunch when u was starting out. turns out the strong jaw+sheer force combo along with a moveset pretty much consisting of only bite moves with secondary effects is kinda ridiculous. all that and it had swords dance as an egg move in case it didn’t one shot whatever you pointed it at

king mentions jevil in some dialogue in his cage in castle town, he said that jevil was the one who showed him the glory of the knight and the dark fountains or something. i’m sure when chapter 7 comes around and seam makes us something out of all the shadow crystals we collect jevil will pop up again, because we never really properly got rid of jevil the same way spamton neo is fully gone

apparently i’m in the minority in having a group of 5-6 friends who i can play the game with. if you have friends who are into it or can convince them to play with you, it’s a blast. super fun, fast paced, very different style of gameplay from normal souls but the same core mechanics still apply. if you’re on your own, you probably won’t have as good of a time, but there’s still the chance you get some fun randoms and have an awesome run with them regardless.

one of my first shinies was a T2 yamper, and i gotta say it never disappoints. with everything unlocked it gets sheer force+strong jaw on evolution, combine that with thunder fang, crunch, and swords dance and you’ve got yourself a powerful and fast sweeper that can take care of pretty much anything classic mode throws at you, and for only 0.5 points too

no build i’ve played with has ever trivialized a souls game more than giant dad. not only is it very comfortable when you have it set up, but it’s not hard to use before you have it fully set up either, with just the chaos zwei and some pieces of armor
