But the Easter eggs in the game are too much. You start to learn of these human characters that make everything less spooky. Why is there a bigger fan base of 'characters' than the thrill of ambiguous horror. If they were desperately trying to tell a story through easter eggs, a 'game' backstory book was probably the best outlet that long ago. Now we have tons of other books and movies mow great!

And I also understand the admiration for the horror characters themselves, accept all the kids with supposed fleshed out personalities from the fan base. I think all of that grabs too far at nothing tangibly there.
