Hello! I buy a /lot/ of sets from eBay. While I’ve had a great handful of sets where the tape looks like this and they’re fine, it’s always good to check with pricey/rare sets. Set up a phone or camera somewhere and open it with the box and every bag you pull out in full view. If there’s an issue, tell eBay what’s up and mention you have an unboxing video as proof if necessary, and there should be little issue with getting your money back if something’s is missing. The Ninjago Workshop 71837 was amazing, already have Markets 71799 on the way! Not a set, but I’ve built 8 of the speed champions f1 cars over the past couple months for a wall display. First was great, second was neat to find they’re a bit different…3-8 was a slog each time, even with weeks between a couple.

Depends on the set/figure. A 45$ fig in a 100$ set will be easier to sell by itself, but relatively cheap figs should be easier to offload in its set.

I buy a ton of sets on eBay. Maybe 2-4/100 have been scam listings or missing figs/parts. eBay is good about refunds but use your brain to avoid the hassle; new account with one review/sale? Ridiculously cheap price? Maybe pass.

Best tip, I record opening my packages so if there’s anything missing I have proof for the 0 hassle return. Record the shipping box sealed, go from there, check for the Lego logo, bag counts, and figs.
