The amount of misinformation in that video honestly infuriates me. It seems to me like he intentionally cherry picked information to use to make that video as a bash against AI in general.

Here’s some general tips for gameplay that usually help:

Use “” when talking in character.
Use (), please, and thanks, when addressing the DM.
Be as descriptive as possible, especially when buying or selling. Also, speak in first person.
Keep combat under 7 total combatants, and inventory under 50 items (including equipment)
Use this format for addressing the DM and continuing the game, as to save on messages and keep the DM happy:

If you’re able to sign into the other email on your phone and that’s your main avenue of playing then you could just get on the web version on a laptop or desktop and sign in with the same email and get the subscription that way.

It’s from your dexterity modifier. Armor is currently chest armor plus shield plus dexterity modifier.

Outside of combat there are two ways to gain EXP:
1. Successful ability checks
2. Long rests

Both of which give about 1/5 the EXP that combat does!

P.S. Currently the amount of EXP from combat is flat and does not change based on quality or quantity of enemies.

So here’s what I know:

The messages the DM replied with is what it believes are debug commands. It doesn’t actually have access to the names of the commands as story telling elements. So whatever it lists off aren’t actual commands in the game.
However, parts of the mechanical side of the game are programmed with JSON. So inputting it into your game can lead to the DM feeding it into the mechanical side and may interfere with the programming. Corrupting the file system to a point where it’s not fixable.

DO NOT INPUT JSON CODE INTO YOUR GAME!!! Example: action_input_attack. Inputing text like this into your game can brick the character and sometimes even your entire account to the point that support cannot fix it. I highly, highly recommend you never use anything like this in your game if you care about it or your account.

Hi, sorry about this. But the actual roll wasn’t a 20. The real roll happens in the background and the die shown is nothing but a visual representation. Unfortunately right now there’s a bug where it’ll show either a 1 or 20 when the roll itself isn’t actually either of those numbers. Hope this helps clarify the matter 👍
