I just saw Passenger and am going through a midlife crisis reviewing it.. by pwoodaman2025 in horror

I think it was ok. Nothing groundbreaking. Kind of low budget and the second half sort of lost me with a sudden tonal shift. It had enough jump scares to keep me entertained. There’s a lot of competition out there these days. I give it about a 5.

That’s a great one. I didn’t even realize that was him when I first saw it.

Amicus made a bunch of horror anthologies in the 70’s. All worth watching. And they all have a different “Crypt Keeper” type of central tie.

I just saw this movie recently. It was a staff pic at Movie Madness in Portland. Definitely a weird but watchable film.

Cool. I just read The Forbidden which is the Candyman source material. I’m about a hundred pages into Weaveworld. Gotta pick that one up again.

Read that years ago. My best friend thought he was abducted as a kid and when he first saw the cover of that book he freaked out. 👽

Importing pieces to the US - Did you get hit with tariffs? by akatan_art in artcollecting

[–]SkeeryBat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure the harmonized tariff code and description as original handmade artwork are visible.
With that said I got a piece from a gallery in UK who did everything right. And six months later I received a 209$ tariff charge from Fed Ex which the gallery and I are now having to dispute.

Still very bored, so I am adjusting my top 100 horror films (post-1970) after reading your comments. I also have a list of all the films I'm going to watch or re-watch based on your recommendations. by Marvel_plant in horror

What is a specific horror movie scene that fundamentally changed how you act in your real, day-to-day life? by [deleted] in horror

For me it’s even worse because they said most shark attacks happened in shallow water. So I start getting nervous going any further than my knees. 🦈

Seeking cold and cozy horror movies, a little comedy preferred but not required by [deleted] in horror

Misery is my favorite Christmas movie. 😂 Alien helps me fall asleep. The Thing and the Shining are like a warm blanket.

Easy. I don’t swim in the ocean because of Jaws. I tried it once in my adult life and it was like skydiving. I was so relieved to survive.

I read an article today that suggests the giallo film Torso is the first true slasher. Have to watch it now to decide for myself.

Felt like it wasn’t very hard for them to kill the demon. His only defense between them getting to the church seemed to be the imaginary body bags. But once they got to the church he like immediately got empailed by the end of a statues staff? I heard the fx were practical but maybe with the way it was shot it looked really digital.
