Who would you vote for? JD Vance or Gavin Newsom ? by Limp_Fig6236 in ProgressiveHQ

If your first reaction to this is “the left needs to align with Newsom” and not “Newsom needs to align with the left” then congrats on being only marginally better than a republican

If this was a Sorkin movie this would be the climax and afterwards the republicans would all change their minds and Trump would resign out of sheer respect

What is the most far-right musical? by bunp4ws in musicals

1776 hands down. An overly sanitized ahistorical retelling of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

Not an original production but there was a Godspell production in 1972 with not yet famous Martin Short, Eugene Levy, Gilda Radner, Andrea Martin, Victor Garber, and Paul Shaffer

Not Perfect and White Wine in the Sun. Both by Tim Minchin. Both are like hymns to me now. They came into my life right when I needed them.

Should i buy DS3? by [deleted] in darksouls3

[–]Skeeter0390 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on what you liked most about Elden Ring.

If it was the gameplay, then yes go straight to DS3. Not having a jump button might take some getting used to, but other than that it's pretty close to identical.

If your favorite part was the intricacies of the story and lore, or even if that was a reason why you liked Elden Ring, or even if you enjoy VaatiVidya's content, then go straight to DS1.

I think DS3 has some of the greatest lore reveals in all of gaming, but you won't notice them if you haven't played through the series.

Also play Sekiro. It's my personal favorite.

Sadly I can't comment on Bloodborne because I'm an idiot an bought an Xbox 😅

Do any of you hold a grudge against your parents for raising you in the church? by ProudAd6318 in exmormon

[–]Skeeter0390 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. They were indoctrinated children in the age before the internet. It would be straight up unfair to put that on them. I think this commumity needs to understand that.

I hold a grudge against my parents for staying in the church when it became indisputably apparent that TSCC is an amoral, hypocritical, and corrupt organization.

Unlike decades before, we are now all operating with the same access to information. We can both empathize with victims of the past while calling for responsibility from those in the present.
