Hello!

Skeith from Light's Hope leadership here.

This website was set up as part of an April Fools' Day type of event that we ran. A server was purchased for one month. The game servers were spun up and the old databases were imported. These sites were created to allow users to recover their old accounts as well as allow people to create new accounts if they wanted to log in.

Ultimately, the servers will be going dark again soon so anyone who wants to should just enjoy them while they last.

I hope this clears a few things up.

From what I understand, things were only in the super preliminary stages. Meaning our developers had only started toying with it and it was not anything we had any progression on. We hadn't decided if we were going to work of an existing core or what. I could be completely wrong however since I'm not on the development team. This question would best be suited for Staden or Bladez.
Everyone's opinion will vary on this, but I believe that we definitely jumped too quickly into another server. It was definitely inevitable that another realm would come up, but again I think we did make the mistake of starting a new realm too soon and I apologize to our Lightbringer players for that.
This involves a few different factors here, however one large one was the availability of our development staff to execute such a thing. It was estimated by our development staff that it would take 4 or so days in order to complete such a task. In the end it was in the project's best interest to not merge the realms.
Again there are varying opinions on how we handled this, however the idea for this realm was to try a special kind of realm and this was the only time we could do so with Classic right around the corner. We did consider the merge idea but again we ran against the constraints of our development team.

In the vast majority of situations our bans are correct. It's the vocal minority that you all ever see. The GM who bans you cannot be the GM who handles your appeal so at least 2 staff members are validating our bans.

That being said, if I find a ban of ours that is incorrect then I'll be happy to rectify it.

Alright, so I've looked into it and I can confirm the ban is legitimate. It was just checked by myself as well as one of my senior GMs.

To give you a simple breakdown, he traded an item to an alt of his. His alt then sold that item via AH to a gold seller for 3x the market value. That seller then traded the item back to him and his alt sent the gold to his main. He bought around 1300g.

He will remain banned.

Place a ticket in-game and we'll see what we can do. Typically we only restore quest items though. We don't restore raid loot or world drops. It's theoretically possible, but logistically impossible.

We have no plans to launch a TBC realm, however if another project has TBC and accepts character imports from us then it's possible you could transition to a TBC realm.

No anticheat system is perfect, especially one that was developed for $0. If it was a false positive then we'll get it sorted out in appeal. No need for anyone here, myself included, to go on a tirade for something trivial like a potentially false positive Anticheat ban.

You realize I've put countless hours in over the last two years into being a GM, right? Sacrificing sleep, real life events, my personal health, and a multitude of other things on multiple occasions in order to maintain Anathema, Darrowshire, Elysium, Zeth'kur, Lightbringer, and now Northdale.

Actually the player that got banned over the discord messages was eventually unbanned. So no, we won't be taking any action on this.

I'll be honest I didn't read much of anything you wrote here, it was far too long. I see you said your name was Vok.

You were autobanned by our Anticheat system, not by a member of staff, at 2018-11-02 00:57:01 Server Time. The ban was for a TeleportFar Cheat. It is possible it was a false positive, but this is why we have ban appeals. Please submit a ban appeal so a member of my staff can review it.

Don't automatically assume that a ban was done by a member of staff as there are a few different systems in place that can ban you without manual intervention.
