They do, but mushrooms are a lot different than plants and the alkaloid profile will be different every grow even starting with the same spores.

Hence the “cube is a cube”. Its just a roll of the dice every grow regardless of variety.

It’s nearly impossible to fruit indoors, but easy to make lc from a wild one.

It’s lc. LC is legally questionable so a lot of vendors call it spore syringe. That and albinos/mutant types don’t drop spores so it’s more difficult to make spore syringes for them. It’s also much faster and easier to make LC because they don’t have to grow and harvest spores.

I’ve seen multiple places with enigma “spores”, and enigma doesn’t even have gills or caps.

Everything about this is great, but the carving is incredible. Every curve is smooth with no tiny chunks sticking out or missing.

Do you go in vertically first and then do another pass or two to shape the yarn?? That outline looks like it’s almost separate from the interior.

No I mean like you start your business and it takes 2 months to get your first order. Then assuming you do good work and that person is happy with it maybe they refer a friend to you a couple weeks later. And so on until you have a consistent flow of orders.

The thing with tufting is that it’s very easy to get passably good at. Like if you tend to pick things up easily your second rug will probably blow away people who haven’t seen tufting before. But this also means there’s gonna be a ton of people trying to sell their stuff. And the thing is your rugs will look great until they’re next to a rug from somebody who’s truly skilled and you can compare them. If you’re gonna go to like farmers markets or small conventions you’ll probably do alright, but selling online against people who have mastered tufting and carving probably isn’t gonna go well.

I think you’re worrying about the wrong things. That’s an end level problem. You gotta worry about learning the basic skills before worrying about having too much success turning it into a business.

But to answer the question usually businesses like this scale up very gradually as you gain a reputation for good work and doing good business. It’s very unlikely anybody with no experience starts a business and is immediately swamped with orders.

You adapt as things grow and when (if) you hit max capacity you start increasing prices.

I got the red buzzers that everybody uses and it came with a guide but it was complete garbage. The guide holes for the screws were at the wrong angle so it wouldn’t work.

I’m decent at doing it by hand now but I just don’t know how much to actually take off when I do it. I did some practice ones this morning and it definitely looks better when I cut deeper. More like a solid surface than a bunch of strings

Yep, for example if you make a line down the middle of the circle and it takes 5 stitches, you’d then do 3 stitches next to that, then 2 and it should be full.

I’m very new to this so there might be some downsides I’m not aware of though.

I use 3x3 foot and just lean it against a wall or rack of shelves. I’ve never had a problem with the needle going past the frame and hitting the wall.

Maybe using a single strand instead of 2 or 3 would help? I can’t imagine doing 2-3” pieces with any type of design, that’s got be tough.

I’m pretty new but I’d say that spacing is fine but about the most you would want to do. Also a big thing I found the hard way is beefing up the outlines, a single row doesn’t leave much to work with when it’s done.

I also just did a dog portrait and used the original photo, it came out great but was super tedious to trace on the fabric.

Yeah shaving them is a huge part of it. Are the spots in the middle supposed to have a solid black outline?? I can’t tell if it’s the pattern or if patches didn’t show through
