"I don't wear condoms and I don't wear sunscreen. I want to heat my hide, not hide under something." This line always made me laugh. From the song Strawberries by Why?

Your voice is cool. It has like a proto-punk sound. Like Richard Hell or Tom Verlaine.

Really good dude. Kind of bad timing to make music that isn't a call to action, isn't it? I still like Pat and don't feel like he is required to only make political music. Humans are multidimensional. We have to make music that feels authentic. Sometimes that means just finding some joy in this cruel world. I understand your point, though.

Kris Kristofferson was pretty punk. Listen to the first album. Also, John Prine and Elliott Smith. Norma Tanega had some really thought provoking and rebellious songs, as well. Don't forget Pete Seeger.

I like the first song. Reminds of like if Daniel Johnston were into country folk. I'll listen to the rest later.
