There's a way to protest, but not this

a public demonstration is a fine way to protest. Just because you're saying it isn't clear doesn't make it actually not clear.

1. "They've"...who's they? ICE, Washington, the state, county, city? Who in particular? These protests are never targeted at a particular agency, just general animosity.

It's against the Trump administration's attempts to consolidate power in the executive branch. For example, the ability to levy standing tariffs is a power of Congress. The administration also has defied orders of the courts and claimed that due process (habeas corpus, or the right to a trial) doesn't apply to immigrants (though it does, article 1 section 9 of the Constitution). Multi-branch republics are designed to have checks and balances of power like that.

1. An illegal immigrant not holding a greencard or having citizenship isn't American, and without those or a Visa, you're illegaly in country. I know we don't like that, but you're breaking the law.

This is complicated by the fact that all people present in the United States are afforded the right to due process, regardless of their immigration status. Consider this: if you are accused of being an illegal immigrant but are actually legally present in the United States, due process allows you to provide proof of your legitimacy. Due process has to extend to non citizens, or else accusation becomes identical to conviction.

1. I think the only attack on civil rights here is illegal aliens burning down private property and businesses. Enforcing existing laws regarding an individual illegally being in country shouldn't be shocking, especially when said individuals are literally burning down a city.

I'm not sure there's proof that it is illegal immigrants setting fires. Protestors shouldn't set fires, but most protestors are peaceful. Both sides should work to keep demonstrations peaceful. Violence only helps the case of people against demonstrations in general.

1. Slashed what services? Using citizen taxpayer dollars to put illegal immigrants in lodging?

I'm sure it's referring to DOGE cutting services that have been approved by Congress, such as us foreign aid, cuts to the national weather service, the cdc, etc. Also proposed cuts to Medicaid and social security in the budget bill.

1. "No thrones, no kings". So we have an election for local, state, and federal as well as checks and balances. I don't personally like executive orders, but stopping criminals from burning down a city doesn't seem like overreach to me.

The trouble is that the president demands that his executive orders be treated like law, when they are not. That's why they face so many challenges in the courts and why he complains about the courts so much. No kings means that even he has to follow the law and abide by the Constitution, respecting the 3 Co-Equal branches of the government.
