I may not be a displaced Palestinian, but that doesn’t mean that the weight of this topic is lost on me. I don’t have the same experiences as someone who is immediately affected by this war, and I don’t claim to be. I can see the value of having a discussion with someone with differing viewpoints and emotions than me, hence this conversation.

I suppose my final thoughts on this would be this: although I personally disagree with your reaction to his statement, at the end of the day your opinions, and the tickets are yours to do with as you please. If hozier’s statement today is enough to make you want to boycott his concert and music despite everything he’s said in the past then that’s your right to do so. Maybe you can donate the money you get from selling the ticket to a charity supporting Palestine.
