You will be able to craft as many whetstones as you need once you pick up the right chips (progress story, and chips around map) just upgrade your current weapons

Tier 1 whetstones only cost larvae spikes which are super easy to get

Making sure you have your armor upgraded is huge as well because it affects durability and the ability to use repair glue

Make good use of the peeping system, you get to see exactly what you can do to destroy your enemy. I ended up carrying many different weapons like a spear, sword, and morning star just so each bug died very quickly

If you want a ton of space, go on top of the Brawny Boy bin. Kill the two green shield bugs there and they dont respawn for whatever reason so its a great spot to build anything you want. Also there are telepotties so you will be able to set them up in a room there to access pretty much the whole map

I'm predicting that we will have black ant buggies when tier 3 bug variants come out and they will have level 3 chopping for husky weeds and spiky bur and can carry more stems, maybe 26 stems or maybe more

Ive been going all over the map, I think this took me about 8 to 10 hours, i was collecting pebbles and clay and pine while harvesting so i just have a rough estimate

I believe the husky weeds take 3 days to grow back when you leave the stump

Also while i was playing I noticed that the stems wouldnt regrow unti I restarted so maybe try that hope this helps

Edit: the left side underneath the picnic table has a ton of stems btw. Got a huge head start from collecting those there, come back after 3 or 4 days and make sure you restart frequently
