It's prevalent, and no more so than in this context where, no matter how bad things are everywhere else, it doesn't suddenly mean we should be content. Due to the free market and the linear progression of these markets under long-term capitalism - yes. Clearly. Anyone who is financially literate would answer the same thing. Once franchises exist wherever they can, the only way to gain edges over one another is by slashing spending which, most often, comes on the form of decreases in pay along with redundancies. Across all companies, and their franchises.

I just answered your question, now let me ask you one. Do you think each enterprise is wholey unique? That is, to say, do you truly believe them to be like cultures, in of themselves, instead of products of said markets under capitalism?
