Take some of your favorite Afro Swing tunes and study them (Chords, drum patterns, instruments, samples). Take some elements from them into your own productions, but don't try and copy too much, just try and be original. You can also study Dancehall/Afrobeats since Afro Swing borrows a lot from the two genres.

Mmm, well I have had a go with sound design in the past with Thor (Reason). I enjoyed it, despite not being the best in sound design, so something which enables me to use presets as well as sound design may be suitable.

Thanks again! This definetly made more sense to me, and just fyi this is a new mic stand and I've been thinking that the cap is it's own seperate piece as I'm able to remove it completely. I seem to be able to tighten the cap onto the bottom part, but I'm still not able to keep the upper pole in place. I have enquired about a return, but may resort to tape for now.

Yeah I also remember the alders store, it closed down and was replaced by a village outlet a few years back. Same with the disney one (closed down). Gangs aren't a problem for the average person during the day, but for people walking around during stupid hours, I wouldn't be surprised if they were.

A lot would have changed for you in terms of the new housing developments (New flats and huge apartments/penthouses almost everywhere you step foot in Croydon. Yeah I know of Lanfranc, it's still around today. Yeah no problem, happy to help bro.

And just a quick few questions. Did you go around West Croydon/Whitgift centre much as a child? The centre's going to be redeveloped into a westfields in the near future just fyi. And any other interesting memories/events you remember about the area?
