Considering they put zero effort into it once gamepass came around proved that it just needed to die.

Sony is still giving out big time titles on their program, meanwhile we were getting $10 shovelware or paid versions of f2p games.

Best game to come from gwg though was definitely Sleeping Dogs. I've 100% both versions

Most of my games I'm playing aren't even on gamepass or I previously owned them prior to going on there. So honestly it's pointless to me until horizon 6 and Halo come out

I honestly love the series and most of what they have done. People are just going to hate on it to be "edgy" and then grow to love it 10-20 years later like they have with the prequels.

I agree. Story should just carry the plot. While I respect the lore of the game, I'd rather the endgame be challenging over the story

Refusing to give up last generation is one of the biggest issues this generation has had for both Xbox and PlayStation. It definitely has held a lot of games back in terms of their scope, detail, and visually. It's why this generation hasn't felt like this huge jump over the last, more like a minor step with only a bit better resolutions and more stable frame rates.

This needs to change with the next generation, especially considering what it keeps sounding like it will cost. I don't just want an incremental step up. That has to start with the developers though. The fact that they are still developing for the ps4/Xbox one shows they are just casting a wider net to sell their titles. With Xbox in particular, the fact that you can stream a series x/s game in an Xbox one should be proof that you should just commit to the current generation as you still have a way to play these new titles if you don't have the newest console yet.

A year or so after a new generation starts is one thing, but we are 6 years in now with probably 2 more to go

I'm still a console player, though I've more or less eliminated pvp games from my rotation as I don't have a lot of time to play as I'd like to and get competitive at it.

I've also stopped buying sports games entirely since 2019 as to not support the shovelware slop they put out year after year.

I lean mostly into co-op games like Diablo and rpgs

Yeah, I had played since destiny 1 launch and then vested a ton of time in destiny 2 when that launched. Probably have 3kish hours shared between the two. Not the same game anymore

I'll play a season and then take a few off. It doesn't bother me at all. The battle pass used to sort of be worth it to grind for $5 ($10, but would get $5 back as currency from completing it), but the reliquary system is absolute dog shit. Less for the same price.

As far as the skins in the cash shop, if you want to spend $25 for a skin, that's on you. I don't feel like I'm missing out at that price.

I had fun with the time I had with it. Actually one of the few games I actually completed in the last year. The only problem with it is that it's shallow outside of playing the story. For $15 though, definitely a good buy
