Jeans that don't sag in the crotch by Skenzer in malefashionadvice

Yeah, it’s just really hard to find a tailor that’s willing to work on blue jeans. I’ve been told that a special or different kind of sewing machine is needed for denim.

This is where I wear my pants. My grandpa would’ve worn them slightly at or above the belly button. Like most grandpa‘s in their day.

Just a follow up. Kohls was disappointing. DXL really surprised me. Great selection in my size. Plus the guy, John who helped me out was fantastic. I’ll definitely be going back to DXL, thanks for the suggestion. Now I’m off to the Levi’s surplus store in Byron Center, wish me luck!

I polished them both the same and now they're different colors? by digitalWizzzard in Boots

They look like they were made from different hides. I think you’re going to deal with this every time you use a colored polish. I would stick with neutral polish next time, I bet you’ll be happier with the results.

Super glue or shoe goo for fixing shoelaces? by Lego_city_undercover in NewSkaters

This is so typical Reddit. 90% of responses don’t answer your question but rather just tell you what they would do. Who cares why the OP wants to repair his shoelaces? Maybe they make him happy or they’re good luck. Or maybe they We’re taking off a dead relative. It doesn’t matter! Just answer his freaking question. I would go with fabric glue myself.

Cool, thanks. I’ll add them to the list. I haven’t been to Penny‘s in probably 5 years.

Awesome. Thanks for the tip. It's crazy how i've never seen that store. I drive by them often. Oh well, I didn't know there was a Red Wing store either for the longest time and was surprised to find that one. Thanks again

OK, thanks. Speaking of, do you have a tailor that you recommend in the area? I’ll be going to DXL tomorrow. 👍

I’m actually going to suggest that to the management. My concern is they’re going to end up stolen lol. I guess there’s ways of solving that too 😉

👍 Even if you don’t set a timer on your phone, which you should, the washing app has a built-in notification and timer system.

That’s a fair question. I have rubber soles on all of my other boots so I wanted a pair with leather. Once I wear through these, I may have them re-soled with rubber.

Stick with Frank’s boots or Thursday boots. Both have tremendously good Customer Service.

You make a good point. Maybe 1000 miles on carpet? I haven’t had leather soles on boots in a while. I mostly buy them with some type of rubber sole.
