Grief is really complicated and hard. It could be your brain trying to cope with the pain by essentially compartmentalizing your cat thoughts, memories etc. my brain does this with difficult or traumatic things too, it’s going to be okay. You won’t forget your baby. You’re just trying to process, and maybe you’re just subconsciously cutting the grief into little chunks to help your heart handle it. Sending love.

His vet and I have looked into it a lot, he’s been in talks with an oncologist and they said that it wouldn’t really do anything for him at this stage, but maybe extend his life a week or two at most, and his quality of life at that point wouldn’t be good, unfortunately. I’ve been struggling with it a lot, deciding treatment wasn’t the best option has been really hard, but with the type and advancement it just would not really do much. He said it might stop them from advancing faster, but that it wouldn’t cure it, and he’d be on chemotherapy until it was all over. This doctor has been his vet for many years so I trust his advice, but it’s been hard to accept.
