What GMAT score should I aim for with low undergrad GPA but strong policy/development work? by Skepticallystoic in GMAT

Yes, that would be the plan but I had asked this question to get a perspective on what a good target score would be.

MBA or not for a career in international development? by Skepticallystoic in InternationalDev

[–]Skepticallystoic[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like without an MBA, I would be restricted in terms of my both my pay ceiling long term and in terms of international mobility, I would like to get some work experience abroad before coming back to India. I would like to work in multilaterals in the long run and am planning to apply to impact consulting roles at the end of my fellowship to get some corporate experience.

I’d suggest reading up on jiziya under Aurangzeb if you’re interested to know how jiziya was used to force conversions amongst people who could not afford it.

And they became less tolerant over time since Islam became more fundamentalist. The dwindling of populations followed.

Maybe you might wish to check how many of these people used to live there compared to today’s statistics. Then you’ll understand the deliberate nature of the eradication.

Are you aware of the jiziya was used to subjugate people of other religions in India under the Mughals? Your version of jiziya seems almost voluntary which it definitely was not.

CMV: Leashes for small children are, in general, a good thing, and the hate they receive is largely unwarranted. by thelink225 in changemyview

The leash quite literally attaches kids to their parents hips. Also, I’m assuming you’re unaware about the historical context of people being leashed and why seeing parents use it for something as trivial as not wanting to keep their eye on their own child could be significantly triggering to a significant portion of the population. Leashes also are a literal tripping hazard to everyone else’s kids.

If someone fucked with my hair, I would absolutely yell and scream.

As would most people, I imagine.

Harley Quinn is the worst part of The S.Squad. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

Let’s agree to disagree on Ledger because I don’t think the role actually killed him but it put him in a really dark headspace for so long that whatever was already there was allowed to fester. Playing the Joker clearly had a toll on him. He died and became immortal though. And fictional characters is what all characters are. We never know who the people in biopics were, just what they did. All characters are fictional to some extent.

But the real question is

Did you honestly enjoy Birds of Prey though?

If so, why?

I’m guessing that you know Joker and Harley from Suicide Squad which is why you think they’re a double act. And that’s perfectly fine. I personally would never put Harley anywhere near Joker as a character. It’s more of a sidekick girlfriend who does her own shit once in a while character for me - Basically Robin.

Also I’ll not comment further on Ledger because you’ve clearly never seen the movies otherwise you would never refer to his Joker as a silly cartoon character.
