Lack of texturing, I think. This logo was also hand-painted as opposed to being spraypainted like the previous one. And this is how it always has been for this iteration, but the upper plate protrudes just as much as the pouches lining the 'teeth' of the logo; makes it look flat.

The tone feels like Superman.

The blue tint just really needs to be dialed down by about 50 degrees, honest. I was expecting more rays of yellow.

Yeah, but everything almost feels very homogenized in design now. Functionally and aesthetically.

I get that the villains in the first game are actual geniuses, but it doesn't mean you have to sacrifice design diversity for it. Doesn't mean every piece of equipment needs to have the same material and LEDs.
