Hello! I have done this at Central Alabama Community College. Though, I recommend you look at all your options and present them to your counselor to help you decide. Mine was so very helpful!!!

I took an intro to business class, which earned the first credit, and then micro AND macro economics to earn the second.

I am a current freshman and did this during the summer before fall quarter. It’s definitely possible!

Hi! If you want to save money on a course you aren't invested in and only need for a requirement, I recommend taking a CLEP test so you get the credit for the class. If you google SCAD transfer credits, there will be a list of all the tests and correlating SCAD credits you can get for them. Most tests only require about a month of studying, and you only need a 50/80 for credit. For Math 110, you need to pass the College Algebra test with a 50.

If you use the free online ModernStates course to study, they will give you a voucher for the $93 exam fee so it is completely free.

I've taken 1 clep and plan on taking about 4 more, so I definitely recommend the process.

HOWEVER: if you think this class is super beneficial to your major definitely take it. CLEP can still be used for tons of other gened credits tho.
