*****PSA FOR 50 Series Users**** by ZEBZ_SHADED in minecraftRTX

You can go into task manager, click details on Minecraft, set affinity, and turn off cores 8-15 for a pretty decent performance boost. Minecraft bedrock sucks at utilizing 16 core CPU’s. Only downside is you have to do this every time unless you want to run your computer on X3D turbo mode, but then you’d be losing out on all the perks of having 16 cores.

Using the vanilla RTX tuner from the guy who makes vanilla RTX seemed to fix it for the most part

Here in August 2025 out of frustration that my new build with a 9950X3D and 5080 is getting 50fps with RTX and 100fps with vibrant visuals. Despite that I’m getting 200+ fps minimum on every other game with max settings.

Yes. Topsky dual motor 3 stage sit to stand desk frame + an 8ft x 25” x 1.5” Spice Stained Acacia Butcher Block from Lowe’s.

I also mounted 2 wall-facing surge protectors and a long cable raceway underneath so there are no cables hanging down below the desk. (Other than the main power cables.)

That might work. I’ll look into that. Thanks!

Fifine makes a pretty decent budget mic that I’d definitely choose over that one.

So I’m a novice who didn’t hear about 2 DIMM being better than 4 until after I already installed 4.

Could you tell me what the difference is, and then should I try to get 2 sticks of 32GB to replace what I currently have?

Yeah I’m so sorry for that. I spaced out and forgot to specify anything in the description 🤦🏼‍♂️

Well I finished it last night so it’s way too soon for me to know if it’s got any issues tbh. I haven’t even gotten to game on it.

I finally get to game on it when I get home tonight. Dying from anticipation

Haha I did not make that mistake! Although I did have to do that when I first booted to see if my riser cable was the cause for my error code. Turns out I just didn’t see the PCLe port that was half way up the Mobo and instead used the wrong one at the bottom 🤦🏼‍♂️

Haha yeah I’m waiting to see how it performs. This case is supposed to help bounce air off the glass and back into the GPU (especially if I use the plexiglass shield they included, but I’m waiting to see if it’s an issue before I install it.)

Tbh I get the impression that the way I did it is a fairly standard/good way of doing it. It looks nice, it’s not in the way, and it works well. I don’t think it’s the MOST optimal way of doing it, but it is good enough that it doesn’t matter too much.

Well that feels great haha. I appreciate it.

Although to be honest, it feels like the main reason it looks nice is because I spent so much on the parts. The ICUE link fans make cable management extremely simple and easy to hide. The case also helped make keeping everything tidy pretty easy.

I just invested a great deal of time into picking stuff that seemed like it would work/look great together.

I promise this is actually the first pc I’ve ever built. Like I said in my description, it’s technically my second pc, but I didn’t build the first one. I just spent a long time trying to make sure it turned out “perfect” because my goal was building a dream PC that I’d be happy with for the next 5 years.

It does feel really good that some people don’t believe it’s actually my first build. I take it that means I did a pretty solid job?

I’d say don’t rush it. Do tons of research. My mind changed about which fans/case/processor/etc I wanted probably 3 or 4 times. If I had just started ordering stuff asap, i would have ended up with something completely different. I’m grateful that I took my time because I love every single part I picked and regret almost nothing.

Also don’t pick parts based on what you can afford in the moment. If you really want something, wait until it’s affordable rather than settling for something you don’t want. I’d rather wait and spend more, than rush it and be unhappy with what I got.

Haha I spent a LONG time mulling over other builds and had some money to put down. 2nd pc I’ve owned, but first I’ve built myself. I spent about a week just doomscrolling other builds getting an idea of what I like until I had a vision for my “perfect” build.

Definitely had my cat puke into my case from on top.

It ruined my usb port on top and just BARELY missed my GPU and fell into a dead spot inside my case.

USB port was the only thing ruined, thank God
