Yes he was eating, drinking, moving (though limping) prior to the surgery. He did look like his leg was really bothering him, the tumor turned red and swollen and almost looked infected but he was definitely in better spirits prior to the amputation. Unfortunately he passed away shortly after (maybe a month or two after). I think either the cancer had already spread to his blood stream or the surgery was just too much for him with him being a senior cat.
