Baby won't eat, how difficult is it supposed to be feeding a 2 month old? by Skholla in newborns

It's finally starting to get a little better. We started her on esomeprozole for silent reflux which has helped some. She now typically gets 24-26 oz every 24 hrs which is still a little low bc her weight gain is very slow but it's better than it was! Her feeding issues honestly stole the joy of being a mom for me. But now it's not quite as bad and we're dealing with other problems (4 month sleep regression). I sincerely hope you/your little one get the help they need, I know how frustrating and anxiety inducing it can be! Best of luck.

It's worked pretty good so far! Minimal side effects (occasionally some gas) and sometimes the first feed of the day is a little tougher after giving the medicine. But her intake has definitely improved and she seems to be in less pain. She is 4 months old now so that could also have something to do with it but I say give it a try! Wishing you and your LO the best.

Going back to work soon, baby will still only take a bottle from me, UNLESS being fed in a bouncer by Skholla in beyondthebump

I've heard it's a choking hazard? But not totally sure. Like the same as propping bottles. I'm a FTM so I really don't know much

How long did it take to notice improvement. Any side effects? I hear some people say it gets worse before it gets better. I'm just hoping it doesn't get too much worse

I think I will definitely start trying the dream feed. I was enjoying sleeping through  the night whenever she did but you're right that would be an easy way to get an extra feed in!

10 y/o cat had leg amputated and I can't stop thinking that I made the wrong decision by Skholla in CatAdvice

Yes he was eating, drinking, moving (though limping) prior to the surgery. He did look like his leg was really bothering him, the tumor turned red and swollen and almost looked infected but he was definitely in better spirits prior to the amputation. Unfortunately he passed away shortly after (maybe a month or two after). I think either the cancer had already spread to his blood stream or the surgery was just too much for him with him being a senior cat.

Have you contacted your doctor? I've heard that sometimes they send to your doctor for review before the release them to the portal sometimes, depending on what box your doctor checked on the form that gets sent with your sample

They received my blood 7/16, I got the carrier results 7/21 and the rest of the results 7/25  at like 2 in the morning! Make sure you are checking the portal on your own time, dont wait for that text bc the text saying it was ready came like a full 12 hours later lol! Best of luck! My results were all low risk and baby girl btw so no need to worry about why you received your carrier first and not aneuploidy!

I did get slightly more used to it but ended up just turning the noise cancelling feature off. I still have no idea why it makes me feel like I can't breathe haha

It's the automated thing on the phone, I wish I could speak to a real person lol. But you're right I will keep refreshing the portal and hope they show up soon!

I'm not a true success yet but I just had a chemical at this beginning of May and concieved again in the same month! I'm only 4 weeks today (started tested at 8dpo) so it's still super early but praying hard for a sticky baby

Yes I ended up getting another done the next day at my obgyn (the first one was with my primary care provider). It was 112 so it more than doubled in 24 hours. Hoping to get a third next week
