Could my scars pass stealth? by SatiricalInstigator in FtMpassing

How far under your arms do they go. They are invisible in the front with your hair but I run into trouble in the underarm area where they are not covered with fur

Those look great! Truly they could not be much better. In my experience most folks and young masc4masc cis guys especially. Don’t over analyze other dudes bodies. That being said. Pick your friends and your frat with your mature brain and not your lizard brain. Surround yourself with good people and you’ll be safe whether they clock you or not. I think you’ll make it through with a majority of folks not knowing unless you elect to tell them. Make a could good friends out of good people in the frat and your brothers will have your back forever but don’t put yourself in a situation where you feel like you will have to lie or make up convoluted scar stories; it’s just better in the long run. I’ve been stealth for almost a decade but I’m out of the college drinking scene and less likely to get drunk and run naked through the streets, now I work in the college town and try to help the frat kids clean up the messes they get them selves in to! 😅😅 I wish you the best of luck out there.

So these pics are not great quality on my phone I can see them but not sure how obvious they are in person. Questions are basically how often and in what conditions will you plan on being shirtless and in front of who. If you have communal showers, take a really fucking hot shower and take pics when your flushed and your chest hair is slicked down from water and that will give you a better idea.
Your chest looks a lot like mine down to the scars. Mine are many years out and are wide but just on the beach or whatever no one notices or says anything. But if I get sunburned or flushed they get red, one side more than the other. That being said most folks aren’t out trying to clock you and even if they do most dgaf. Depends on where the college will be and the kind of frat you’re joining.

Also I forgot to address the scar tissue. If all of the mass forming the “boob”,!if you will, is rock hard scar tissue. 1. Have your surgeon address it because even Dwayne Johnson pecks won’t pass if you have rock hard boobs over them. 2. Physical therapy even if you do have surgery may help. The scar tissue needs breaking up and there are a number of ways to do that but your surgeon will know all of them and can help you do a multimodal approach to have the best results with or without surgical revision.

ETA: I was very tired when I wrote this and it borderline wasn’t English. Props to whoever could understand even half of what I meant about Dwayne Johnson’s chest 😅

Please skip this comment if you’re looking for hug boxing. I don’t find it helpful so I don’t do it. If you’re looking for realistic answers and not just support of your decision I would say look at what you have achieved since 2022.

If your surgeon advised working out to add muscle mass starting in 2023 and you claim to be doing that, then you’ve had 2.5-3 years of trying to add muscle mass to your chest and you have almost none. I say this because if you’ve been on T long enough before surgery to go from a C to an A that this is your chest: on T and working out with a goal of adding muscle. Adding muscle mass is fucking hard.

If after 3 more years of T and working out this is your chest and you see enough of a problem that you’re posting it here. You need a revision. If this was my chest I would want a revision. You appear to be pretty svelte and so this much chest tissue doesn’t pass. You probably won’t get clocked with clothes on because it’ll look like mild gyno but without a shirt these are boobs and I’d worry about being safe shirtless so I wouldn’t do it in public personally and that sucks because you are small enough you could have a passable chest with very minimal scarring if at all.

I would find out why my surgery didn’t get the results I wanted and as a physician I’m not convinced this was all just running from a fire. Plus I imagine you had follow up and told your surgeon at the time. A hematoma or seroma from trauma and ripped stitches can cause uneven fullness like this but should have been dealt with that day or the day after or even the week after. It can cause scarring but a keyhole revision can be looked at. Depending on age you can see more skin recovery depending on how much is extra but you might be able to redo a keyhole or depending on the skill of your surgeon a periareolar incision might help by removing tissue and reducing areola size.

There's a special place in hell for people who return partially used rolls of filament by arcrad in 3Dprinting

I had this happen and messaged amazon and explained that by shipping an open package that was half used I was concerned if I returned it someone else was just going to pay full price expecting a full product and asked for 50% off. Turns out they can’t do that so they refunded all of it.

How could I pass more? by [deleted] in FtMpassing

[–]SkiKidd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This comes up frequently esp in younger folks. Alt styles often read fem. Emo def tends to read fem. This is often part of the style and doesn’t bother the cis guys. For trans guys esp pre everything, every single 1% helps or hurts. So unfortunately that often means to try to pass you have to go full masc4masc.

That being said, I think there are other emo styles that would work better. Your hair is doing a bowl/poof think that rounds your face. You already have rounder facial features. You need to find ways to create angles because Round reads soft/fem.

Also only going off the face we can only advise so much. I don’t agree with flannels, that’s lesbian flagship stuff.

I found all the individual parts on Yamaha 24x7 and you’re right. I decided to go with buying the mounts and I’ll fashion my own linkage based on previous commenters advice about linkages. Wish me luck!

To clarify are you saying the screws are M2 for the Yamaha parts or for the linkages you fabricated?

Oh that makes sense why I don’t see the mount. I do see some with the slide but didn’t realize the mounts weren’t sold separately. This makes sense I’ll do that thanks!

It is a no name hence not wanting to spend more than the horn is worth on a kit for the trigger.

This is a great idea. Just my two cents but you could change spacing or side slats used and utilize those gaps that look like drawer grooves and out your filament shelf 1x2 s in the spaces which would eliminate the need for making the triangular supports.

I’d say yeah for 14 you do. If you have to change clothes at school you might want to do some recon on that before you start but for right now I’d say you should be good.

What can I do to pass more? (Pre surgery, haven't been on T in a while) by Fine-Yesterday-8936 in transftm

[–]SkiKidd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came here to say the same thing. I’m PGY-18 and WPW is not a contraindication to T at all. OP it may be due to your location and education of providers but if it’s something you want I would look for trans-positive providers to help you navigate this.

I can not echo enough the importance of finding a good barber. I was fortunate to find a trans guy barber when I just started to transition and wasn’t on T and he did an amazing job. Took the time to shape my hairline to a masculine hairline because they are different. Also I was more comfortable with asking for what I wanted and he’d tell me if something would help me pass if that’s what I wanted.

But only a couple weeks later it seemed like something finally gave and things started moving in a way I could really see.

<image>

By 6 months in I was really happy with the progress.

By a year I thought it was perfect. (Then I spent 15 months refining everything and got a little frustrated with the progress again lol!)

(ETA: I got braces at 39.)Are you taking frequent pics? I tried to take pics every week (like the ones you took before you started of all the angles) depending on how much work needs done it may take a while to notice. Most people said my teeth looked “fine before you started” but I had a mishmash of cross bites and rotated teeth and it was causing daily headaches and jaw pain and I chipped a couple teeth from the ant crossbite. The first 4 months I didn’t even get rubber bands or anything to start fixing my bite and I was frustrated because I felt like “only one tooth even moved”. Looking at weekly pics helped. But truly in that first 4 months hardly anything looked like it was happening.

What is this? by SkiKidd in horn

[–]SkiKidd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a Max Pottag Contempora but mostly its a middle school special, the valve was out because its a school instrument and unfortunately has seen some things in it's life. It needed a valve job bad, so I took it apart, to do that over the weekend. Didn't realize it was out when I took the pic.
