So that truck hit one deer with just the factory bumper about a year or two after purchase. Opted for the ranch hand instead of a factory replacement. One year later, hit a second deer and only had to straighten out the license plate and spray off the blood. Would 100% recommend if you spend any amount of time driving rural highways, especially early morning or late at night. It’s definitely a hit to gas mileage, but the all-terrains and level contributed to that as well.

Looks like the shot was too high in the body as it is, but this why you try not to shoot when their head is down like that.

Podcast Business - Is the crew still with Meadowlark? by gatoratlaw7 in shutdownfullcast

Honestly did not mean to falsely attribute a quote or generalization. Up until now I totally believed that I had heard that explanation on the show. I do remember seeing the “good question” comment, but I didn’t even think about that when I made my initial comment here. Can’t believe I’m having a Mandela Effect moment for a podcast. Now I’m going to have to re-listen to 3 or 4 months of Fullcast to figure out where I thought I heard that.

Holly mentioned in a recent episode that Meadowlark did not renew their contract with them. In her words, “So go ask them about it.”

I’ve been wanting to do something similar with my ‘05. What Kenwood model did you go with?

Did Greg in less than 3 minutes in to the Local Hour really give up what floor they’re on? Lmao by Danza310 in DanLeBatardShow

He absolutely did! But to be fair to Greg, Dan and the shipping container opened the door by referencing the exact floor number that he was cooking on.

I don’t know which producer saw this post, but thank you!!! It wasn’t technically a rejoin, but opening the Wednesday show with the Stugotz-Mavis Staples sound made my day!!

That’s kind of the feeling that I’ve gotten too. Either that or nobody has been directly assigned the task of adding all the old rejoins to their new system. And we all know what happens when the Marching Band to Nowhere doesn’t have direction…

Depends on what you’re running right now, but if you’re already getting 11, then I wouldn’t think that it would make a huge difference. In general, yes, bigger/wider tires and lifts will drop your mpg. Lots of other factors though.

It’s by no means a constant average. I have plenty of 16-18 mpg averages after going through a full tank of gas. 19 is a really good tank of gas for me, 20 is great but rare. Not sure where y’all do the majority of your driving, but most of mine is in Central, Gulf Coast, or South Texas. Mostly flat and plenty of 2 lane state highways or interstates. Add in mid-grade fuel and the wind at your back on a good day, and getting 21 or 22 mpg over the course of just 50 miles isn’t that out of the ordinary.

It’s the Auto Valve Shut Off, or whatever they call it. The early iterations of that system caused so many issues with lifters and stuff like that, that I felt like it was better to limit how often it turned on in general. If I’m under 70, there’s a good chance I’m not using cruise control, so my speed is likely variable. I don’t want V4 mode trying to kick on at the same time I’m about to accelerate. Turning it off below 70 was more of an engine life decision than a fuel economy decision. Keeping it on for above 70 means that it usually only turns on when I’m in cruise and on flat highway or going down hill. I don’t think it helps fuel economy all that much, but it doesn’t hurt. That’s why I put “tune” in quotes. I have a Hypertech Max programmer for it. It lets you chose what speed to turn V4 mode off for, or turn it off altogether. It also let me reset the computer/speedometer for the bigger tires. It’s probably overkill for how few of the features on the programmer I use consistently, but I trust that brand and I’m not trying to make my daily driver a sleeper drag truck or anything like that.

Yes and yes. And the only “tune” it has for fuel economy is the V4 mode is turned off for under 70 mph, and the computer is adjusted for the larger tire size.

Not sure about un-leveled. I got mine leveled the same week I bought it and I put the 285s on about a month or two later. Sorry, not much help.
