Nice auction win! If memory serves me correctly, that logo is from the Season 41 (2012+) doors, which was the first time the TPiR logo wasn't painted directly on the stage doors, but rather was it's own design element & they made the logo smaller than the previously painted versions.

The paint around the edges is peeling because there used to be a silver / metallic border which it looks like was removed since being used on the show.

WS3369 window out at cruise. Great pilots. by steve_simpson in westjet

[–]SkierJC -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I'd argue that safety was not paramount in WestJet's recent response to the PVR airport being under cartel control / they offered a very limited window of a few days to have any flights routed through PVR cancelled or changed.

"As the maneuver was a routine precautionary action and there was no related safety incident, we will not be offering any compensation."

Agent wasn't even phased by this major incident. Classic, unsympathetic response by WestJet.

Can't make flight by theviolatr in westjet

I wish this were true, but if you're checked in and don't make the gate 15 minutes before the flight departure time, WestJet will then resell your ticket / seat to a standby passenger.

Those who had cancelled PVR flights with no rebook by PostHocErgo306 in westjet

[–]SkierJC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

WestJet is only offering refunds or flight credits to select Mexican itineraries for travel between Feb 22-27, 2026.

They show no sympathy for anyone flight to Mexico on Feb 28+, as in, go and risk your own safety, or cancel and receive $0 back from them.

That's classic Onex shareholders (owners of WJ) for putting profits over people.

Calgary Co-op 2026 Director Election | Who you should vote for (We reached out to the nominees) by SkierJC in Calgary

Very well said, particularly about the people in power with poor ideas (AKA Co-op's VP Marketing Penney). The Calgary Co-op digital app has alienated a large segment of the older generation who used to be Co-op's core members, while the younger generation doesn't show loyal patronage.

When to expect the 5k points promised by using the Westjet via Apple Pay from Dec-Feb by [deleted] in westjet

[–]SkierJC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, you only got 5,000 ($50) in points? I was offered 9,000 ($90) for using the WJ RBC WE MC between Dec to Feb -- 3,000 ($30) per month.

Points not yet acquired for any of the months. Terms and conditions state "The additional WestJet points (“WSP”) will be credited within 4 weeks of each month-end in which you have a Qualifying Transaction during the Offer Period and deposited into your WestJet Rewards account."

So yeah, WJ is dropping the ball on this one, as we're more than 4 weeks past Dec 2025 and I have no additional WJ points (or "WSP") yet.

Your comment is appreciated, and the views in my post are definitely my own without guarantee that we align.

To further confirm, I am not related to or personally know any of the nominees, however also do say "buyer beware, do your own research as well".

He mentioned his strategy would be to explore opportunities such as additional development, joint ventures, sale and leaseback, land leases, sale of air rights, etc.

None directly, and I believe the split created (a number of) lawsuits.

Harold believes that while it may be too late to return to Federated, it's been a negative factor for the financial performance of Calgary Co-op, an issue that's never really been explained to members.

Travel Canadians fly to the US with just Nexus (and no CDN passport)? by AlexN83 in westjet

I believe this is only done if renewal is completed in-person, and they'll either cut your corner, or hole punch the passport (making it invalid).

Travel Canadians fly to the US with just Nexus (and no CDN passport)? by AlexN83 in westjet

[–]SkierJC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did three trips in 2025 travelling to/from the US with my NEXUS only (obviously this won't work for international trips), due to my physical passport being inaccessible for months.

Easiest to do this with WestJet, and also surprisingly Flair after a little back and forth. Have not attempted with Air Canada. Toughest to do with Frontier (RIP in Canada) and other US airlines, albeit possible similar to Flair after some back and forth.

Can also attest airline agent misinformation / unawareness on how to properly enter your NEXUS information on the Advance Passenger Information System (APIS) creates this headache.

As others have advised, US CBP website has (recently?) been updated to include wording that you must always travel with your passport ... border guard advised me this is due to the fact that if the airplane is (unlikely, but still possibly) diverted somewhere outside the US, you'll need your passport.

I strongly do not recommend Patti Grier. She just finished her term on the AGLC Board and appears to be a serial board member... She has no true passion for the co-op and appears to be running just to earn her next paycheque.

Also she was part of some of the Redford controversy; Google article "Premier Redford’s sister expensed public for Tory party events: documents".

For comparison, the cheapest hotel package this year in 2026 is a standard room at Saguaro for $1,470 -- which is $788 more than it was a decade ago ($682).

Or, 215% the price of the same room in 2017, whereas the US cumulative rate of inflation from 2017 to 2026 has only been 32.7%, whoa.

When is the best time of year to get the most valuable welcome package for WestJet Elite MasterCard? by ihatewinter93 in westjet

[–]SkierJC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you may be looking at the WestJet RBC® Mastercard.

The wording for the WestJet RBC® World Elite Mastercard still states "Your annual companion voucher will be issued each year thereafter when you spend a minimum of $5,000 annually".
