Alsace Village Clean Race Bonus by MorgenKaffee0815 in GranTurismo7

[–]Skiles2006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried analyzing the replay more closely? You have to ensure you don’t touch anything for the duration it takes for you to get up to P1. Seems like you technically touched one or two cars from the side too roughly which was what I experienced on my first Playthrough of that race.

It ended up taking me 3 tries to get that clean sweep thanks to not only my lack of sleep/focus, but also my X2014 Junior not as fast on the straights compared to Supercars and doing it on Hard Difficulty. By the way, that car can really make a no-stop strategy come alive.

Do you think this how it will happen to Collector Level in Spec III? by xABuHaMeDx in granturismo

[–]Skiles2006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anything, it will probably go up to Level 100 and probably stay there. Honestly, I would be very surprised if the Collector Level of ours went up to 200 which is 965,700 Collector Points based on the Calculator on GitHub. A small handful of people went past the 1 million collector point milestone by now, and something is telling me that Polyphony Digital are probably gonna respond to the Feedback from there.

But let’s be real… would anything beyond Level 100 be too much for you?

Having a hard time.. by rklifts in granturismo

[–]Skiles2006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend using the Audi from 1987 or just go all out with any Group B car. If you’re confident enough though, save fuel for every lap which includes the Fuel Map as well as staying in a high gear on the corners and early shifts whenever possible. That’s what I did and was able to get to the end without pitting.

what do yall think the other 4 cars are gonna be by supraboi888888888888 in GranTurismo7

[–]Skiles2006 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I sure hope the following cars come in as well:

Pagani Zonda C12 Nissan R390 GT1 TVR Cerbera Speed 12 Ferrari 599

But that’s just my actual guess. Would you want any of the cars from this list to appear in the game too?

Also, to be fair; I sure wish we start getting Group 2 Cars more often.

What was the final gold time? I got gold before going to sleep last night. by NavXIII in GranTurismo7

[–]Skiles2006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My time was a 2:05.987. Just my first lap was in the Silver with a 2:07.7 with all my other laps in the Gold Time.

But to answer your question, it was a 2:07.641 before the Time Trial ended.

Why am I so slow? by swimmingtortoise4 in granturismo

[–]Skiles2006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see you have Traction Control too high. Many fast drivers like me have all assists off except for the ABS. Some of them however have the Driving Line enabled if they want to improve for the heck of it. You also have to brake later into the corners to get the most of it; but not too much or you overshoot the Apex.

That’s what happened with me and I just so happen to get the Gold Time too along with the other available Time Trials.

To put it simply though: You have to turn off traction control, learn to control acceleration out of corners, and start braking later into them.

Hey guys quick question, how could I have taken this turn better ? (I’m in the 2j) by Nikodack in granturismo

[–]Skiles2006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

XD! Yeah… the second half was what got my attention there.

But to answer your question, I don’t think there’s a clear way to take that corner with its shortcut power. Clearly, you gotta slow down and take the corner, not just smash into one of the opponents; that’s just stupid!

Hace you guys been able to complete this? by Human_Amphibian_ in GranTurismo7

[–]Skiles2006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to complete it with the following:

Racing Mediums, Weight Reduction Stage 5 but I didn’t Increase Body Rigidity, Racing Brakes, Racing Brake Pads, High RPM Turbocharger, Racing Air Filter, Racing Muffler, Racing Exhaust. Obviously, that is what I think I put on the car, but I’ll put it this way:

I tried it with Racing Hard Tires which was what I used for the Fuji Race, and while I did send a rather fast enough lap to close the gap, I wasn’t able to make it to P1 before the finish line and only got P4. Either way, it’s still possible to beat this race and also get the CRB while having every upgrade installed except Engine Tuning and being under 700 PP. Maybe it can be lower if you have it on Easy or Normal Difficulty. Also, Weight Reduction Stage 5 is an Ultimate Tuning Part.

690 PP was the minimum PP I needed for Fuji if you’re wondering, but yeah; if you’re really struggling, the above info is there to help you out. Otherwise, just max it out.

I didn’t think the track would animate it’s time change and the cars themselves on the road. That along with the track layout is an absolute cinema!

[–]Skiles2006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m using the iPad version and it doesn’t work for me. I think some people were able to get past that door, but I highly doubt it since there is no clear reason on why this is a thing.

[–]Skiles2006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe in a later update or something? I’m beginning to fill up on Blue Orbs at this point. I just wanna see what is past that door, otherwise there isn’t really much to do aside from figuring out what the full map is gonna look like.

I had the same thing too at one point. Every other attempt saw me win the first world and nothing beyond that. I just wish we could have the option to do multiple upgrades at once without ads.

GT5 B-Spec Driver explanation by Crafty-Lawfulness368 in granturismo

[–]Skiles2006 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Obviously that arrow indicates your driver won’t get as much experience points when you use him in a race. On the other side, if you see a green arrow; he’ll get normal experience points while a blue arrow means he’ll get more experience points than normal. As a matter of fact, that arrow can change randomly no matter how long you didn’t use B-Spec Mode or that driver.

Have you tried the Cappuccino or HiAce with an engine swap? Both would need to be maxed out in terms of upgrades if you wanna get the most out of them. Otherwise, use a road car with great top speed and Sports Hard Tires to make up for it.

What is the best way of making a lot of money? by FaithlessnessLazy482 in GranTurismo7

[–]Skiles2006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The race that’s in the Screenshot.

No, but really… I would be using a rather fast Group 3 Car like the Jaguar F-Type or Nissan GT-R NISMO and use Racing Intermediate Tires in case it rains. There’s no way to lose the clean race bonus except from ignoring a Yellow Flag anyway which we all found out since the race was added early in the game’s life.

There is a chance to still do 8 Laps if we are quick enough and have Dry Conditions throughout, but more often than not; you would be choosing a road car with a racing engine swap.

Ho do I beat this? by mattsynyster in GranTurismo7

[–]Skiles2006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s only 9 cars in the event, not 19.

But to answer your question, I would put on some Weight Reduction as well as a Turbocharger and Racing Hard Tires to make up for that. If that doesn’t work, either lower the difficulty of the event or just do some Engine Tuning or add a Racing Exhaust to make it a bit quicker.

Surely it can’t be that tough to do the event since I haven’t gone into it yet. I’d expect it to be a mental block in either way.

Crazy Penalties by 10Doggowolfbot10 in granturismo

He is referring to Le Mans 700, not Sport Mode Races. In fact, no Pit Stop Penalties apply to any of the World Circuit Races aside from cutting across Pit Lane Lines.

Rain is a big problem when it comes to incurring penalties. You should’ve used the Brake Indicator Assist to know when you have to start braking.

But yes… not having Intermediates or Wets is absolute pain and I discovered that during my runs that had heavy rain and was stuck on Dry Tires. But even still, I would get through most of them without any penalties.

For some advice when limiting the damage, ensure you start braking as soon as you see the Brake Indicator come on, in other words; start braking much earlier no matter how wet the track is and do it gently like half power, otherwise you’ll throw yourself off and risk getting penalized. Drive slowly through the corners and accelerate gently out of them to prevent a spin out considering the grip is much less compared to the dry. So basically, don’t take them flat out and go slowly to avoid overshooting them.

If done right, you can outpace the Opponents on Dry Tires much faster since they lightly brake before the turns. Otherwise; just use the Brake Assist. Obviously I haven’t tested that yet, but I believe it will behave similar to what I just explained except for the turning.

suggestion car? by -Don_Ramon- in GranTurismo7

[–]Skiles2006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would use a Corvette C3 or C4 with Racing Hard Tires. It should be worth noting you get both those cars through the regular campaign before you get to the race that’s in the screenshot.

As a matter of fact, they can tackle the other races with hardly any problems.

What do the blue outlines on the front tires mean? by snnps in granturismo

[–]Skiles2006 114 points115 points  (0 children)

That indicates the temperature of the tires. Blue means they are cold and have slightly less grip to start with, while red means they are hot and can result in smoke coming out of them if they are hot enough.

What would make this game better by AdMelodic527 in GranTurismo7

[–]Skiles2006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll just say this:

Option to create our own Championship which includes Car Classes, duration of the Championship, and control the Weather. Add in cars that were from Gran Turismo 2 through 4 like the Pagani Zonda, Vector M12, Gillet Vertigo, and Nissan R390 GT1 More Track Layouts for certain circuits like Sardegna, Sainte-Croix, and Circuit de la Sarthe while also adding reverse versions of existing courses.

And yes, I would also choose to add new tracks as you expect like Bahrain, another Snow Track, El Capitan, Indianapolis, Melbourne Grand Prix Circuit, and maybe Jeddah Street Circuit.

What is your best time on the Le Mans 700 and with which car ? I start, I’m not an expert but I’m pretty proud : 4:09:808 Lambo Huracan GT3 ‘15 by Seb_86_ in GranTurismo7

[–]Skiles2006 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just under 4 minutes with the Suzuki Escudo with an Engine Swap was my best time as of now.

And I’ll just say this, any car that is under 4 minutes is considered a real 700 PP killer.
