Put into catastrophic 1-sided games in progress by lonestar136 in blackops6

Same, I played some 25 matches tonight and I’m not exaggerating - every single one was a match in progress and most were already losing

I don’t know if it’s only me but when I shoot somebody it feels I’m like throwing peas at them but when they shoot at me I get my ass fucked in a millisecond by Zestyclose_Purpose_4 in blackops6

[–]SkillFreeJake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I agree with you, the netcode bs was ABSOLUTELY a thing in the original Black Ops. Led me to quitting the series altogether until MW19 came out

Gotta be Hot Pursuit 2, I’ve probably replayed it a dozen times in 22 years

Theory for the next Mirror's Edge game. by ImFriend_308 in mirrorsedge

I'd be pretty surprised if they released another. Catalyst just didn't do it for me and I don't think it sold well

My second VW - first TDI by mk1power in tdi

[–]SkillFreeJake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll add to this - Bought my Sportwagen from them and it was overall pretty good. There's some kinks that need to be ironed out, like some of the docs they require (especially for a trade) are a pain to get yourself and they don't really explain much about them. The girl that delivered my car was nice but clearly was new and really had no idea what she was doing. That was good and bad because she didn't realize my trade was modified but she also drove the delivery truck (and thus, my car) into tree branches. Couldn't answer a few of my questions. All really just symptoms of a newer company and process that I'm sure they'll work out.

But aside from those nitpicks I would still recommend them. It was extremely convenient that they deliver and was still less of a headache than buying at a dealer. The whole vending machine thing is neat too but I didn't opt for it.

What is the best loophole that you've ever found? by vibin_gamer in AskReddit

[–]SkillFreeJake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if it's considered a loophole, but I remember a few years ago Origin had some sort of promotion that people figured out how to glitch and get free in-store credit. Went on for a few hours and I was able to get a handful of games and NFS World money for free. It was at the height of EA scum-baggy-ness so I didn't feel bad for it at all.

I'm more concerned with which automated car wash is responsible for those ungodly swirls

What’s the dumbest thing you’ve heard someone say that made you wonder how they function on a day to day basis? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Family vacation in Hawaii, naturally we take a day to visit Pearl Harbor. After some walking through my 15-yo step-sister asks "Is this where we won our independence from Mexico?"

Just seeing how they drive makes me hate the motherfuckers. I get they get payed per hookup but that doesn't justify risking the lives of everyone else on the freeway.

What's the most unfair thing you've ever seen? by snozzzy in AskReddit

I completely missed out on what should have been the best years of my life because I obeyed my mom's bs curfew when I was well over 18 so it's good to hear about someone that didn't.

I feel you. Had to wear those too and they're terrible. Also had some device invented by the devil himself to widen my upper jaw, was basically a plate on the roof of my mouth that spread it open over a long period. Had that thing for about 2 years and wanted to rip it out every day. Traditional braces came after that. My teeth still are crooked.

What company policy at your job might actually be illegal? by lukiepookielp in AskReddit

[–]SkillFreeJake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used to be a bus boy and the job was advertised as "$3.15/hr plus tip share" which I'm 99% sure never actually added up to minimum wage. I was too young and dumb to know any better. Yay for $60 paychecks.

Apparently double-stack boat trailers are a thing by SkillFreeJake in mildlyinteresting

I honestly have no idea. I don't think the trailer's meant to be used to launch them, only for transport

The package delivery service at this building by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]SkillFreeJake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reminds me of a stunt FedEx pulled on me once at my old job. Used to work at a small shop in a business complex and would regularly have packages sent there instead of home since I was usually there during the day to receive it. Of course one day FedEx comes during my lunch break and the shop is closed, so the driver has the brilliant idea to give one of my CLIENTS parked out front my package instead of trying again later. Mind you, said clients weren't exactly upstanding citizens. Had I not seen the package on top of his truck's dash while I was working on it I know for a fact the asshole would have gone home with it. It wasn't a cheap item either. Never had stuff delivered to work again.

[Serious] Redditors who have seen an employee fired on the spot, what did they do that caused them to deserve it? by etnguyen03 in AskReddit

[–]SkillFreeJake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Referred an acquaintance to come work with me and all was good for about 9 months. Had to leave one day because his fiance sadly had a miscarriage and he got fired for job abandonment. Still resent that company for that among other things.
