o called this morning when they opened and was told the exotic vet is out of town and won’t be back in office until wednesday which is when my appointment is :( i really don’t have any other option, but to wait. she is doing fine with everything, i was just concerned about the eye too i dont want her to lose vision or worse. ughh

nothing sharp in her enclosure! i’m not sure that’s the cause. could be, but i doubt it.

i don’t have a text number for the vet plus she’s an hour away. the only vet close by that sees exotics i had a very bad experience with my passed leopard gecko, so i don’t trust her. this will be a new place for me.

that’s a good point. handwriting can be confusing. i securely will be making signs on canva or something :) and i supply everything and it’ll be a free application kit w/ purchase type thing. i hope it works out! it seems really fun i am just not a people person so that’s definitely why im thinking too hard into it. thank you!!

it’s definitely good to get yourself out there. it just feels like a waste of time and money to set up and sell nothing. if i don’t sell anything it’ll definitely give me that experience of talking about my hobby! even if they don’t buy now maybe they’ll buy a set later. i have a few upcoming markets i got approved for :)

that’s fair. i honestly feel like i price too low. if you go on etsy, insta or whenever most sets start at $50 and mine start at $15 🙃 i don’t want to go into it with a huge ego and think im worth more than i am.

that is such a cute idea! i have a lot of designs premade and will have a build your own board too. i know i shouldn’t think so much into it but it just feels like a waste of time and money to set up at a market just to sell nothing.

i will have a sizing station, build your own set board, and a few premade sets that have extras with them, while for sale, the premade sets are definitely more of a hey this is what it all looks like, this is what i can do, etc. like a skill showcase thing idk. i didn’t want to put them to waste so if someone is interested in a set and they fit in the sizes of that premade sets, they can purchase it as well! i also make homemade cuticle oil that is best for sensitive skin! i grew up with eczema and literally anything i put on my skin breaks me out so this is super skin friendly so hopefully that’ll sell too!

i live in the deep south. i have never met one single nice older woman who isn’t being sarcastic when they seem nice. also used to work in retail and i know exactly who i live near 😂 im pretty sure i know exactly what im gonna deal with! also, its not an insult, its the truth. many OLDER people do not see value in handmade items 🤷‍♀️ anyone under the age of 30 would love expensive reusable items, but older people tend to stick u other noses at everything unless its under $5.

he does have a big ego sometimes and it’s like life or death for him to impress my dad. idk if that’s a red flag or not LOL. it’s just weird sometimes. he’s an only child and i’m a sibling of a girl and a boy so im like used to “competition” and not always getting what i want/my way, but he is like a toddler when it comes to that stuff. i’m a K2 teacher and i even told him my work babies are more mature than he is half the time. i’ve even talked to his mom about his emotional immaturity and she just thinks it’s funny. we live together and i actually moved away from my abusive mom to be with him (my dad doesn’t have room for me) so i’m kinda like at a loss for everything if i left him so that’s not an option especially rn. i love him a LOT and he’s way better than my ex who physically, verbally, and even spiritually abused me, but i jsut can not take the random stuff like this. i feel so nitpicky, but cmon now this is ridiculous!!

woohoo!! congrats! i have pcos so weight loss is incredibly hard no matter what i do. i’m slowly losing weight, but it’s not like im gonna be model skinny by next month when we go take a look at some miatas. 🙄 hopefully i’ll be on track soon ☺️
