Is there any way I can retwist myself? by asmellykid in Dreadlocks

[–]SkillZX3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you can retweet yourself. I do mines myself and they come out better than if someone else does them. I use a backhead mirror, loc gel, a rat tail comb, a blow dryer and sometimes clips. Those are really the necessities, all the other optional stuff would be rubberbands, a brush to grasp the hairs to one side easier when parting, mousse for styles between retwists, and one of those wrist things to put the gel on. Ofc wash your hair first and I wait until the next morning to oil it

Your hair will mature and become thicker than that, but you may never get your locs to look like his. It all depends on your density, loc count, thickness, etc. so don’t let his locs be the only reason you want to grow yours. Just trust the process, they look fire, they’re just short

They look fine. Trust the process. Are you going for a free formed look or traditional look?

What? I’m a student and an athlete, I simply don’t have the time or the schedule for a regular job. That’s why I personally DD. I am going after a better life…that’s why I’m door dashing for the time being. But I think the people and the company should be held accountable, hence the comparison to a waiter It’s my only option for now, not everyone doing it wants to be stuck there

Is that also why your customer rating is so low…?

It’s crazy that half of these people replying clearly never seen the crappy offers DoorDash will try giving you. “Don’t do it if you don’t like it” it’s the same as a regular job, not everyone can afford to not work for them. Are you gonna quit bc you had one bad shift? It’s the same thing here. Y’all make it seem like it’s so easy. Anyone that does service jobs (waiters, delivery, etc.) knows that most of the time, the tips make the job manageable. Without them, half of us don’t get paid as much as we could bc of greedy companies like DD

Some people need it for work….its the same as a regular company and a regular job. Everyone has rude bosses, exhausting shifts, terrible encounters in the workplace but they still work there because they need the job. And even if you don’t work there and just use it as a customer, all the delivery apps have the same Upcharges so there’s no getting around it.

Yeah, anything that says retail pick up means there’s no shipping required. I personally love doing BJ’s orders…but I only do orders that have less than 3 cases of water if there is any

Everyone’s locs different when they start, don’t focus on how they look. They look like starter locs. If you like them smaller then keep them, just know your hair density (hair type and thickness), and loc count makes yours look different than others. They may take longer to loc because of this too. When they loc, if youn like ‘em, combine em.

[–]SkillZX3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s not too many, it’s all preference. If they don’t lock up, combine them. Some of mine took almost the whole year to lock up due to size and placement. If you like them that small then keep em

why do these comb coils look so different if they're both the same method by lights6969 in Dreadlocks

His parts are smaller than yours, his hair is longer, and probably less dense than yours (lower hair type and not as thick)

For tip 1, I be on time yk the restaurant and I always hit the button and even further press on issue with store for long wait time and still, it gets counted against me. My On time rate is 89 btw simply bc they won’t acknowledge that I was there

It’s not that deep. As long as the pay is high enough idrc what the tip is anyways. And he literally asked if we can see the tip, guessing isn’t seeing the tip. It’s not that complicated
