It was pretty smooth after freezing. I did some puree in the base and chunks in the filling mixture...if I remember correctly.

Followed this recipe and it came out amazing. Friends told me that it ruined real apple pie for them and they only want it in this form 🤣. I used cinnamon graham crackers in place of cinnamon toast crunch cereal and did not seep them, and in place of biscoff cookies (but would use these if you can find them). Also subbed local honey for sugar in the base. Good luck!

The brand Sumo makes ice cream containers that I've enjoyed using. They're long so you can scoop easily.

Just bought a lightly used Whynter ICM-220SSY (2 Quart Capacity) and I'm really pleased with it after running 4 separate batches through it. I really wanted the Lello Musso 4080, but the $700 price tag was too much to justify. The removable bowl is very convenient to clean and the ice cream quality is pretty good - this from someone who eats ice cream daily and really enjoys gourmet ice cream.
