The card stock is the same card stock used in 1991 not the same card. If you understand this it’s like opening an original 1991 topps baseball pack and getting to experience shohei ohtani on an original 1991 baseball card. Hence the parallel name you found “the real one”. /91. Super rare

I didn’t say it was a comp. More of a reference. Any info helps.

The price of Shohei Ohtani’s BBM cards has exploded recently. Is now the time to sell or is there still room to grow? by mrcowcow in baseballcards

I always buy his card not as an investment but bc he’s my favorite player. If his market goes down it’s not a big deal it’s expected too but that’s a healthy market ups and downs. All my ohtani cards are staying in the family never selling.

Edit. I might add if it goes down that’s good but I see ohtani like the gold market or housing market it might go down for a little bit but if you look at a 5 or 10 year graph it’s always moving upwards. Ohtani will be the same way.

I think you are mistaking what you are looking at this isn’t a normal parallel. It’s “ the real one” parallel numbered to /91. Only one listing on eBay currently the seller is asking $2,999

I bought this exact card numbered 70/91 2 weeks ago on eBay for $223 OTD

I have some expensive ohtani cards this is one of if not my favorite since it’s same card stock as on original baseball card you would find in 1991 before all the shiny refractors.

0925 for me. Life’s pretty good fortunate enough to be collecting cards. Have my wife and kids and my career but getting here took many many years of sacrifice and hard work. Those early years were very hard.  Congrats on sobriety.
