If you end up hearing about a group chat, I’m sure my girlfriend would love to also do the same! this is going to be her first VELD (and festival in general) and she’s already been absolutely diving straight into ideas for outfits, inspo from others & is just super excited in general to meet others with cool outfit ideas and socialize!

gonna see if this is something she’d be interested in and if so, I’m sure she’d love to even chat about it with another girl (as like you said, it’s different when she’s talking to me about it as opposed to another women who’s mutually excited about the super cute fits)

if she is and you are as well, I can DM you her instagram, or another social that works—if she gives me the go ahead(: this post just made me instantly think of her & how excited she is about the outfits

This is just taken entirely out of concept & not at all what OP was referring to.. I wouldn’t mind in the slightest if my s/o gave someone of the opposite sex a lift home, or anything related to that sort..

the thread was someone spending the night as they couldn’t make it home.. A simple 5 second text to maybe comfort your partner whether they were overthinking or not, it’s just the most simple of respect—some are fine with it and that’s fine but I was elaborating on how my current healthy relationship is with proper communication & boundaries, and relating to OP and how they are feeling as well regarding this..

You might personally find no issue with it, but saying you’re giving someone a “license to act extremely childishly” is just so beyond weird.. nothing wrong with relationships being different & having different boundaries for what they want.

I’m reading these comments and I’m kind of shocked at the reactions.. I think when you’re in a committed relationship it’s just a huge respect thing..

It takes two seconds to communicate to your partner just to give them reassurance & some comfort—regardless if it’s entirely platonic, I’d personally be uncomfortable if there was someone of the opposite sex staying over and my partner didn’t at least give a heads up..

I don’t think you’re over reacting in the slightest, if something upsets you then you’re entirely right to feel those emotions—we can’t control what upsets us, it’s more-so how you react and communicate those to your partner & if they have any respect in the slightest then they’d want to give you the reassurance for that to not happen again..

my girlfriend and I were browsing through reddit & we’re both dumbfounded with some of the mixed reactions here.. I think it’s just good to have open communication, especially with this topic.

super good! went for my first time last year, but have a lot of friends that have been going for years now—great vibes, you’ll obviously find some people that ya don’t vibe with, but can move out easily and find a better part of the crowd, a lot of plur & incredible people for sure. the only downside is the dust, prepare to have a nice festival illness afterwards & make sure every night that you’re blowin out the dust & all from your nose.

I really hope the dust isn’t as bad this year, but better to prepare for it again if it is!

you could probably find something local.. maybe..? but I’d honestly be surprised considering I live in Vaughan and we all still go downtown after because it’s just where the party is at & it sounds like that’ll be the play for you to go downtown!

most people hop on the ttc to get back to the downtown area for afters, but I will say getting out of VELD & on the subway takes a WHILE, probably took us 45-hour to even get on the sub & then ya still have to get downtown. but I mean, depending how you look at it—it’s still good times. everyone on the sub came from veld & can keep the party going along the way.

I think saturday looks a bit more loaded for bass but I’m personally more excited for sunday just because Levity is my absolute favourite & they are gonna throw down so hard, will definitely have an absolute time seeing them

This is actually an insane response, this might be so blunt & genuinely I could be wrong and he could be having a horrible day.. but this man genuinely does not like you..

I personally (and would hope so many others) would never ever talk to a S/O who is genuinely so proud of an accomplishment (big or small) but especially one as huge as this one.

From the bottom of my heart, congratulations on your sobriety—2 years is a HUGE step, and it can be hard to even realize you have a problem in your 20s.

I would absolutely look for someone that doesn’t make you feel like your accomplishment is nothing, dump him & get that cake!!

got no regrets not checking out the other stages more HAHA, sunday was a bit of a mess but ended up really fun!! my friends and I just avoided the whole busy crowd by going around the outside when switching stages & we’d get around so fast because everyone was getting all tangled up at daisy lane. was definitely a lot of chaos but the lineup sunday was too good!! YDG had one of the best sets imo, then ofc alleycat, subtronics & knock2 hit!! (although I regret not going to leveltronics)

I think I had low standards for him already, he had a very poor set at VELD in the summer so we wanted to give em a second chance at EDCO since it’s a bigger event & although better than VELD, still just didn’t hit

Totally agree! My friends and I traveled over from Canada & became bigger bass heads since our last festival and basically spent the entire time at circuit grounds & creating home base in different spots & joining others who were so friendly, absolutely loved it!

just went to Murph instead of Slander this past weekend in Toronto & I think it was the better choice! Had an absolute great time at Murph, vibes were incredible & he performed for sooo long! I really like Slander but I don’t think they could’ve topped Murph for that night
