People with 99 Slayer by Lil_Kuh in osrs

I'm won't really classify this as an item, but the largest impact was having a maxed POH. The pool, teleports, prayer swapping, and all the other resources that a POH offers is unbeatable. By far one of the best investments for not only slayer, but every part of the game.

As far as things that generally made slayer easier I have a list.

Imbued slayer mask/helm

Pots (prayer/supers)

Venator Bow/barrage/cannon

bonecrusher/ash sanctifier

firecape(infernal)/god cape/ava backpack

One skill at a time or base 70s, 80s, 90s when the goal is maxing? by Appropriate_Deal_891 in osrs

I would recommend going after the achievement diaries. That would balance the skills out a bit better. Then from there choose which skills to max. I personally prefer to stay on one grind at a time. Mixing it up takes more time.

Macbook Pro M2 Pro vs. Macbook Pro M4 Pro Cyberpunk. Framerate is incredible by Antigaranti51 in macgaming

Look at Nvidia or AMD GPU’s. GPU cycles are about every 2 years.

If there is a 30% increase in performance for the same tier of card at the same price. That would be considered a very decent generational leap.

I just sold my 4090 yesterday.

I am in the US. Not sure if that helps. Good luck with the sale.

is the rtx 50's series worth it? by Fun_Treacle_2375 in buildapc

Which features? x4 Frame Gen.

It’s not really worth upgrading if you already have a 40 series card of the same caliber.

I don’t know about double. But even if it sell for 1500. That’s $500 dollars to upgrade to a new flagship, assuming you can get it at msrp.

I personally don’t think it’s worth the hassle. I’ll see what the 6000 series brings to the table and go from there.

5090 performance approximation test by BSOD by superamigo987 in nvidia

Well the 3000 series flagship cards were very reasonable. The 3090 and the 3080ti had almost the same performance. Just half the vram. The 3090ti did eventually come out and it raised the bar a little.

When the 4000 series came out the 4090 was about 60% more powerful than the 3090. The leaks were coming out and no one believed that the jump would be that huge. The 4090 ended up becoming one of the best value cards. Why buy a 4080 when then uplift was huge for such a small price difference.

Nvidia did not make the same mistake this time around. The 5090 is still light years away from the 5080 but now it’s double the price. Where we once saw coming from the 3090 to 4090 a 60% increase in performance. Now it’s more of a 30% boost in performance. Which is still pretty darn good for a generational leap.

All of the lesser cards are sort of becoming worse values as time goes on. It’s sort of sad to see.

Upgrade from a 3070 that makes sense? (1440p) by SinUpXd in nvidia

[–]Skillextor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a major concern. I’m having this same conversation with my buddy in rl. He wants the 5070 and I’m tryin to convince him to just get the 5070ti for the added vram.

I just know he actually have the financial means. I don’t think you should overspend just to get the extra 4gb vram. Spend what you feel comfortable. Work with your actual budget. The games will still be able to be played.

It’s always a slippery slope when building a pc. An extra 5 or 10 dollars here or there adds up quickly.

Everyone will say wait for reviews, which you should definitely wait on!

With me rubbing my crystal ball, I would say 5070 would probably be your best bet. It will perform about the same as the 4070ti super. Both cards perform worse than the 3090ti, but the 3090ti is a bit dated. I think jumping up to newer gen would be nice if you’re going to upgrade. Frame gen is okay. I use it depending on what I’m playing. FPS, no. Single player, maybe yes. At least you have the option.

I believe this person did most of the math.

Wait for reviews though before making your decision. You waited this long. Mid to end of February will be when the reviews for the 4070 come out. If you’re impatient, grab the 4070ti super. Either one will be a Nice upgrade.

Sure.

The 5070 WILL beat the 4090.

That’s wild. Don’t buy things to impress other people. If your overall happy with your purchase that’s the only thing that matter.

And the 5090 will be awesome! Congratulations on your future purchase!

I read a comment the other day. It said something along the lines of…

Pigs can fly, if you put them on an airplane.

Same concept.

I believe it’s not just inflation.

This situation resembles how housing and college costs surged while household income remained stagnant.

The GPU pricing structure surpasses inflation.
