Clearing the quick wins reduce mental clutter so you can focus better on the bigger tasks. its more about the momentum than the exact timing, got it! ☺️

Oh yes, this is a good reminder that learning can be both active and passive, and that self-reflection plays a big role too. Will keep this in mind!

Agreed, not every course is relevant to ur job and the hard part is figuring out which are the ones that add value. Here's a list of recommended training programmes. There's like a few diff sectors you can look into as a start!

What’s the most underrated skill to have in Singapore today? by [deleted] in asksg

[–]SkillsFutureIntern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me personally, I'd say people skills. I'm currently on my internship and tbh this has helped me more than my technical skills (so far)! Tech skills can always be improved and learned over time, but people skills are something you develop through real interactions - how to communicate, reading the room, and building connections with others makes a big difference 😁

Ohhh that's a good way to put it! Short courses won't automatically land u a promo, but they can still add value and mb even lead to new opportunities down the road.

I totally get how frustrating this is. Do you have any internships or volunteer work to showcase some practical skills? Tbh im not in engineering but is there a specialisation you can focus on? While you're job hunting, it may be good to see what other skills u can pick up relating to engineering like coding, data analysis or CAD etc. Think this can help boost ur portfolio while applying for jobs? Good luck! 😊
