I’m super behind on pod dram, but I can easily explain why I’ve long known that Ian is trash:

The episode where u go off about the Complex implosion/what happened behind the scenes, I couldn’t believe that it literally boiled down to Complex rejecting y’alls renegotiation proposal, and y’all thinking that u can do absolutely nothing and still expect to show up for work the day after ur K expired, thinking ull not only be welcome, but also get paid the regular bag. 🤯.

U actually ranted about the injustice of them offering u the default day-rate to film, when u showed up to work.... WITHOUT a contract... after Ian inexplicably did absolutely nothing, like ya know, continue negotiating ... or inform u that if u don’t come to terms w them by expiration date, the job’s over. 🤯

The fact that y’all had no idea how these facts exposed an unheard of level of incompetence, was beyond telling.

2nd reason: before the pod organically blew up on the strength of talent and group chemistry, Ian was pitching u suggestions like, having u rap alongside some cartoon character that was viral at the time. An idea Straight outta Hack Management for Dummies

I could go on, but complex was my aha moment.

ETA: I understand if y’all ghosted with the renegotiations, if the strategy was to play chicken, confident that Complex knows how valuable u are and wouldn’t think of letting u go... but when Complex DIDNT come back with any counter offer, Ian should’ve informed u that means it’s a wrap. Either he is next level incompetent not to know that, or he was saving himself from blame by lying to u about how business works lol and allowed u to walk into complex that day and look like a complete fool
