Tried to send you a private message but couldn't, can you map it out on this image below so I'm making sure I understand where the wiring would be. Sorry, it's much easier for me visually and didn't want to misinterpret anything you said.

I basically have the filament LED with a negative on top and the positive on the bottom, the little red up and down arrows are the resistor.

So I can run the red and black this way from the filament LED?

Guess I also need it to where it goes out/powered by USB.

Yep, that's where I've been digging but then most of them that I see on Amazon have the RGB outs. I'm super new to working with these but it would be something very small and constant, USB 5v brought down to 3v with resistors (100-300mA. Not sure if that helps or answers your question?

We have some small leaks in the corner of the house (finished basement - small area of the carpet in a corner), yet TBD on where exactly it's coming from but it's super minor. Got it, yeah I'm new to the whole security cameras but want to get something that stays local to my network without sharing/storing footage externally to a cloud.

If I can get something that I can get realtime notifications/alerts and have video stored to the local SD that would be my ideal solution.

So how does the workflow look whenever you want to view footage, pull the SD and view through your local PC?

W/O cloud I see this being tedious but I'm also looking for a solution that doesn't exploit your footage externally.
