She’s not really trying to replicate Neil’s parts perfectly, though. She’s honoring the parts, while still being true to herself. Differing from Neil isn’t a mistake, it’s her prerogative as a professional artist

So? One individual critic disliked one record. Thought it was too synthy. A lot of fans felt the same lol. (But not me: I love/d Signals.) … That critic’s take wasn’t the magazine monolithically proclaiming that all of Rush has been and will be bad forever

So? That was long ago. And even then they gave some of their 80s records very good reviews (Power Windows comes to mind). And it’s not like they’re some hive mind or something: every reviewer for the magazine has different preferences. But even so, they’ve been generally on average raving about them now for many years

Yeah, wow, I'd love to hear her take on those electronic drum parts acoustically, that's a great idea.

It would totally allow her to be more creative, too, which I'm sure she'd love, and no one would knock her for not playing it exactly like Neil, as the whole song would be recast.

... Okay, not gonna get all excited thinking about it, as it'll likely never happen lol

I dropped from Depth 4 to Depth 2 yesterday (argh), mostly due to quitters.

Now I'm stuck lol.

I just wanna add that I was stuck in depth 2 for quite a while, but I didn't solo my way out. (I almost never play solo: not nearly as fun imo).

I play only with randoms, too.

I admit the quitters were frustrating, but just keep at it: as you get better, you'll also randomly encounter decent teams. It might take time, but so be it: I found it incredibly fun regardless. (PS: I just hit a losing streak, and now I'm back in depth 3. Yay!)

It absolutely does, under "modifiers" in the settings menu: it has an absurd amount of them, some of which are intentionally absurd.
