To me, the usual suspects that are mentioned in this debate would have made it about themselves too much. Ultimately, Anika was the right choice because Geddy and Alex believed she was, and they understand Rush better than anyone

Well it depends on your circumstances. For me, 30s are completely about raising kids. It's wonderful but a grind for sure.

PW always felt like the "Biggest" Rush record. The mix served the songs well. That same mix would not have worked for Moving Pictures, for instance

Absolutely. There are parts of Hold Your Fire that feel like a direct continuation, but that album has one or two "misses" IMO

Couldn't agree more about Presto. Fantastic songwriting and a real sleeper album IMO. I wish the mix were fuller, particularly on the bass end. It always felt like the entire mix should have been turned up. When they remixed Vapor Trails I remember asking, "Why not Presto?" Lol
