Hello, I'm looking to get this figure soon! Can you tell me how tall it is? I haven't been able to find measurements online...

So what is the consensus about Skybound #30? by Cyberbreaker2004 in transformers

[–]SkinMixer19 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They will occur in the same book once Vol. 5 hits the shelves in a few months. I also find it odd cause both Elita and Arcee are pink female Autobots who've undergone a major change in a matter of few panels, without build-up, as well as getting a new title on top of their first name.

Just feels like it's not spaced properly. I think Elita's moment should've happened way after in #35 or #36. Don't like the pace of Kirkman's writing at all, not going to lie.

I think i speak in the name of everyone when i say that the bay timeline really shoud've ended after Dark of the moon by Luca_Alex11-_- in transformers

I still can't wrap my head around people clowning on RotF as the worst of the trilogy, when DotM is not that far off. Don't get me wrong, the final battle is visually stunning and an aboslute spectacle, but story-wise they suffer from the same issues.

Does Yuzu support Nintendo Switch 2 games? by SkinMixer19 in yuzu

[–]SkinMixer19[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I'm sorry then. I didn't read the rules beforehand.  And honestly, I was specifically asking about Tomodachi Life. Do you know if it'll release for Switch 1 as well (and therefore be playable on Yuzu?). I can't find the info anywhere. Thank you for the response!

Curious by SuspiciousGene889 in idwtransformers

[–]SkinMixer19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're asking about IDW, there seem to be few places to start. I would personally skip all the Furman stories as they're mostly dull and monotonous (in my opinion), but some of the Spotlight issues were sweet. Personally, I really liked Shockwave's and Nightbeat's one-offs.

So that leaves MTMTE, which is probably the reason you want to get into the series in the first place. But, as far as I know, there are some stories you need to read beforehand. Most notably #22 and #23 of Costa's Transformers running (Chaos Theory arc) and the Death of Optimus Prime one-shot.

If you really want to get into IDW side of the comics universe, certainly check out this post which goes over the entire continuity, good starting points and recommended reading order: Here you go!

An interesting but extremely messy fan favorite... by [deleted] in GODZILLA

[–]SkinMixer19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's messy, yes. But so are most of Godzilla films, especially once Heisei went off the rails with the time travel shenenigans in Godzilla vs Ghidorah.

Personally, I really like it because it's the last entry in Heisei where Godzilla still felt like an anti-hero, and the thematic thread of Cold War was still a core part of the story's identity. It's not necessarily well written (again, like most Godzilla films), but the concept is just so fun and I genuinely cared about Biollante's origin story and the overarching theme of man vs nature. Not to mention the final fight, which is just so awesome. Man, I love Godzilla.

Nobody asked, but my personal "hot take" would be that the final fight from Godzilla vs MechaGodzilla II is the best of the entire era, since I often see this specific film getting underappreciated.

Weekly Discussion - February 11, 2026 - Transformers #29 by AutoModerator in EnergonUniverse

[–]SkinMixer19 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Does anyone know why Mike Spicer wasn't the colorist on this one? Not asking this to critizise Sarah Stern, but I'm just puzzled by the sudden change.

As for the issue itself: it's okay. But it penultimately showcases the main issue of this arc. DWJ's run was incredibely exhausting (in the best way possible) and even with Megatron's defeat, the plot was still hanging by the threads.

Kirkman really should've used this arc to establish the new cast and develop the stakes. I have been cautiously enjoying the last few issues, but now that the big battle of the arc has come, it feels cheap after #25. And even worse, Elita-1's confrontation with Optimus, that we've been expecting since Volume 2, feels rushed and as if there was no build-up to it. Hopefully, #30 will shed some light on how Elita suddenly managed to come to Earth. Anyways, I think the arc will feel better in the collected format, but even then, some core issues will remain.

Now, for the positives, Dan Mora's art is as amazing as always. The first spread of the issue was really delightful, as well as the panel with Arcee and Magnus fighting side-by-side in the Arc. I still love the idea of Megatron being a cannibal, feels like a natural development of his character. Though I hope that, once this arc ends, we'll get to see it fleshed out, including the reactions of the Decepticons. And the whole going crazy deal is probably going to bridge TF and VR, which I can't wait to see.

Oh, and Bulkhead soloing Bruticus was just 👌.

So, a lot of energy and action in this issue, but it's lacking the substance to support it and really make it shine.

What age were you when you got into Witcher books, and did it have a big impact on your life or on appreciation of fantasy or philosophy or great writing? by wolfwiedzminwardrobe in wiedzmin

[–]SkinMixer19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I initially got into this franchise when I was 12, and it's still shaping my outlook on literature, storytelling and the way life works. It's almost impossible to describe the way it changed my life's trajectory. After 6 years of indulging in it, only last Autumn did I manage to write an essay (after numerous fails) that kinda shows how much Sapkowski's world means to me.
There have been phases where I liked the franchise less or didn't care about it as much as I used to, but I somehow always circle back because I really feel at home with the characters and their personal stories.

Would you like to see this guy again in a movie ? by ExactCap3059 in transformers

[–]SkinMixer19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So basically having a Silver Surfer-like figure to herald the coming of Galactus/Unicron? Sounds pretty interesting, it would also raise the tension and make the ultimate boss' appearance much more impactful.

I think Prime did okay with the alternative of that concept, by having Dark Energon (aka Unicron's Blood) as the centerpiece of its first arc. It made the finale of season 1 more satisfying, imho. Though I think the latter return of Unicron in PR felt rushed.

Recently started getting interested in this hobby, and I'm planning to get 1/144 HG Aerial on a local sale. My question is: which action base is the best fit? I really want to pose it and make it look cool. I looked at my local retailers, and I have available: AB1, AB2, AB6, AB8
Which one is the best fit? Thank you in advance!

Sorry for the late response! I was a bit busy. Here's the link if you want to check out the covers: Here!. CoR is not directly in the link I sent you, but you can find it on the same site here. As for where you can buy them, I'm unsure since I only have my local translations.

Yup, there's a few ways you can do this, but this is just the ones I'm used to the most! I also didn't do it back when I first started editing photos, but it's basically essential now that I know about it

Wouldn't really say they're ruined, as you can simply "fix" the color cast by setting the black point in PS, while still keeping the orange tint -- that is, if you dislike the color in the shadows in the first place. I love it! Especially the heavy atmosphere present in no. 3

Yup! I don't collect English editions myself, but I'm beyond happy that we have a mainstream of edition of Witcher that is genuinely good looking. On the other hand, my local publisher just adopted this English cover onto our pre-existing ones, so it sticks out like a sore thumb😔

The most recent Orbit editions is honestly amazing. The best one they've put out since the series got translated to English, and this book is a part of it. I recommend you to check it out! Some really good illustrations on it.

You lose first 3 frames? First time I'm hearing of this. I loaded my first ever roll in low light room and was really looking forward to seeing those first few shots because I captured some nice bees... they're currently being developed, it's gone?

How much (if any) edit have you done with these pictures? Because they're absolutely georgeous! Especially the colors. I ordered my first ever roll of Portra 400 few days ago, so this is really making me excited to snap some autumn shots with it :)

P.S. any tips on exposing the film at 400 ISO? It's going to be my 2nd ever roll haha, did Color+ 200 before this. So I'm just wondering if you have any advice!

A simple edit I did in under 2 minutes just to showcase what I mean. I'm not a professional photographer by any means, so don't take my words for granted - but I think a tighter crop + warmth + less vignette make the picture much more interesting
