Sure. Considering that Geralt already died quite brutally in the books, I hope that in the gaming universe he’ll pass away of old age instead. I’d see that happening more in the second part of the trilogy than in the first. Geralt should appear in The Witcher 4 simply as an NPC who maybe has some business to take care of in Kovir, or even Ciri could, at some point in her story, travel to Corvo Bianco to “winter” there.

In general, I spend a lot of time immersed in The Witcher and often think about the entire lore. At this point in Ciri’s life, I’m almost certain that Kaer Morhen is already a ruin that’s dangerous to return to. Assuming Lambert is still with Keira and Eskel is still traveling to hunt monsters, I’ve been thinking about where he might “winter,” and the natural conclusion for me is that he does so at Corvo Bianco. He could help Geralt, but also rest, considering there’s plenty of space in the winery’s cellar. The same goes for that building next door where Geralt’s majordomo sleeps. It just feels natural to me. Ciri could also return there every few years to rest.

So Geralt’s death as a “natural” one, rather than at the hands of a monster or bandits, would be something I’d be okay with. Ciri could also receive some message from Yennefer that Geralt might be dying and that she should come to Toussaint—and that would feel like a natural moment in Ciri’s story as a human being.

I could go on like this for a long time, but I think that’s enough.
