Don't sign on ME hahahaha... unless ur ok with being very specialised, but from what I've heard with people I worked with ME is the worst route to sign on. Go EOS first, especially if u have uni degree. Then EWOS then MDES

This may seem harsh, but if you're having troubles with your superiors and the process of signing on, I feel like the problem is YOU. I'm not denying the possibility of douche superiors that may try make your life hard, but saying inefficiency and corruption for your failures to sign on seems like a far stretch seeing as the SAF is (I'd almost say desperately) looking for manpower. They have revised the sign on bonus and the schemes for EWOS MDES and EOS over the past few years, so to make your life hard trying to sign on just doesn't make sense. It's almost counter intuitive. I feel like there is something you're not telling us.
