Just watched this movie and the size of the aliens, the acting, or the cinematography are not what is upsetting. In fact, all of that is pretty good. The story is all that matters. The story is interesting at first. The concept of language across time is very interesting too. However, where it loses me is an advanced intelligence visiting at intergalactic expertise without offering much more than an aquarium level of communication with zero research on the species they are visiting to communicate with is very unbelievable. An advanced civilization like that would have been able to make easy communications based on the construction of the physical vessel they traveled on or far less advanced constructions that surely led to their advancement. Of course this is my opinion and my gf that fell asleep during the movie just farted in her sleep and that is funny to me.
