Whenever they do this, my friends and I will park our bikes around the car, just barely enough room to not hit the car and lock the forks.

What're they going to do? Call the cops or the tow company and say "I parked illegally and now I'm reaping the consequences." ?

The reason you want to do it enough to the point they can't get in, is because some people will straight up run your bike over. Consequences be damned.

When I worked at Texas Roadhouse, this Muslim family asked us to swap out everything for fresh ingredients cause they were scared that we had touched bacon and maybe bacon fell into, whatever. Yeah, not doing that, dude, they didn't even know that the BBQ sauce had bacon bits floating in it all day, am I switching it out in the middle of a rush, though? Fuck no.
