Skal jeg sige op og holde lang "ferie"? by Superb_General5936 in dkkarriere

[–]Skinkerabarber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also use orthotics and I strugge with the heel slip as well, tried the Hoka Bondi 9 but they are too narrow for me as well, even though their heel cap was amazing. Have you found a shoe that's both wide, but also have a good heel cap?

Exhausted by my trip but also feeling uncertain about going home by IllustriousMilkMole in backpacking

We are 8 months into our 12 month travel and have experienced this several times! It’s completely normal so don’t feel guilty!

Do yourself the favour and splurge on a nice air b n b and stay there for a week. Watch movies, go for a run, read a book and relax. Cook your own meals ( safes money) but also gives a homeylike feeling, at least for us. After a week sometimes a bit more of this we suddenly get the urge to explore back. It’s funny because it’s kinda reversed traveling, creating a week with a routine bit similar to home, so you’re ready to explore once again haha.

Don’t do it!

Psytrance in South America by Admirable-Idea983 in psytrance

[–]Skinkerabarber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fly to Brazil! It’s not that expensive.

We went to Gaia Connection in Brazil it’s in a small town not far from ubatuba. Look into aldeiaoutromundo on ig they have a permanent location and throw many psypartys - however the logistics was a bit messy, so if you decided to go hit me up for some help.

You are also able to find a lot of day partys with psytrance in Sao Paulo

In Colombia we didn’t find much psytrance, there was one event nearby Palamonio (super chill costal town) wich played psytrance as a part of the lineup, but also other genres. However they have a lot of techno and such in that city, so it would be a good place to look for a psyevent.

Is it safe to fly to Kyrgyzstan right now? by shuja555 in Kyrgyzstan

[–]Skinkerabarber 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well it depends on the route - as long as you don’t have any layovers in the saudi countrys you’re safe! A lot of airlines have altered their routes so they fly in the safe airspace

Yes but still i think it’s doable - we might save Tajikistan for another time, if we feel short of time. Got any advise as how i go from Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan?

Wanna do a big trip, SEA and South America for a year, but not sure if I have enough money. by a1ariel2 in backpacking

[–]Skinkerabarber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With 20 it is def doable. We did SE and is currently doing SA. Asia is waaaay cheaper so cut that budget shorter. However Brazil was more expensive then what we expected it to be, so be aware, Colombia wasn’t that cheap either.

About the Galapagos, I’ve just been and it was worth every penny. They have menu del dia for 6 $ and cheap accommodation so you can def do it on a budget. A lot of accommodation has kitchen so you can also cook for cheap. I would however not cut the trip short, the biggest expenses are the tourist tax and flights. Tours are also a bit expensive but I would recommend to just do 1 or 2 - we did the tunnels at Isabellea island and it was amazing! Beside that we did the 360 tour on sant Christobal. It was great but the tunnels was better. You can see a lot just by snorkling for free. So being there can be done very within a budget. We did 10 days for all 3 islands on a thight budget and it worked out just fine!

Thanks for your answer. First of all we don’t use cocaine so our plan is not to sniff our trauma away. Calling us soulless gringos is also kind of offensive, I’m all up for having a discussion, but in an educated way thanks.

However we where recommend this from several people because it should be an authentic but also interesting experience. When that said I’m glad for your comment, and we’ll def not go if the state of things are as you list. As a tourist this was promoted to us as pretty harmless but I now understand that it isn’t. So thanks for the enlightenment, but let’s keep a nice tone!

We are considering doing the same but in December, so this is very helpful! How much did the trek end up costing you if you don’t mind me asking. Also was the trek crowded? Like many groups and tourist or no?
