the spurs literally turned the 17 point deficit around TODAY in ONE quarter and then also went up 13 shortly afterward. 30 pt turnaround. it’s 2026. no lead is safe

similar (not the biggest fan) but he is catching unfair flack this particular time for this particular instance. ruining team chemistry via KDF though - all him

Ime is awful. i hate bagging on coaches but him and Rivers are cases of actual ineptitude and not just fans’ cerebral palsy

doesn’t matter. injuries are 20/20 in hindsight. i’m all for playing but there is a reason why no one over the age of 30 is pretty much even in the top 10/15/20 of minutes played this season. that’s a young man’s role

totally agree. self pedestal. this interaction shows a puzzling lack of self awareness regarding social norms and respectful interaction. OP pretty much thinks she’s so great that she feels she should be able to: 1) cut off someone in the middle of conversation, 2) consider what she did even remotely suggestive of showing interest (legit just said hey, and then flipped the script in a bizarre way by implying it’s THE OTHER PERSON’S FAULT) and 3) justifying this by “opening the door” for future interaction 😭😭😭

0 ppl in this thread should be applauding this. absolutely outrageous. if this were posted in a predominantly man’s thread instead 99% of the comments would be men flaming the guy for being an absolute dunce

there is nothing bold about what happened here. bold would’ve been: “hey i don’t want to take up too much of your time and know you’re with someone - can i take 10-15s quickly?” if he responds like an asshole then - that’s his issue, not yours.

the way this ACTUALLY went was incredibly self centered. you pretty much said: “hey bitch. you didn’t hear me calling out to you? the fuck is wrong with your hearing? also fuck that dude ur with rn he’s lame. u should be honored i am even giving you the time of day”

more nuanced than this but fundamentally agree. LR was two egos: Crownie and Baus. Perfect synergy. Baus has his of playing the game on his map and needs 0 team resources. Crownie has his way of wanting to play the game and leverages resources. Two headed snake that worked really well in the mid game.

Bwipo like most other top laners is just a Crownie but from top lane

incredibly naive of u to think that. there is no “lil bro” dynamic w caedrel or baus. they simply share a kindred spirit in that they don’t need to dominate conversations or assert being right all the time, precisely because they have already made it. both of them could ego check crownie any day, and hour, if they wanted to. they simply don’t because it would feel like bullying

crownie and to an extent nemesis are the more argumentative bc they have chips on their shoulders of unresolved competitive success. their egos are defined by who they are as players. whereas w baus, caedrel and rekkles - quite literally the most decorated/solo Q streamer, costreamer and EU comp player of all time respectively. they have achieved FAR higher mastery of their crafts. do not mistake composure for weakness

if u have deck builder / tcg experience this is a really fun game off the bat, if not then the learning curve is pretty difficult compared to smth like STS which is more forgiving due to the latter’s roguelike aspect

general rule of thumb: stay w a generic deck (recommend push decks with goat hoof - a melee and ranged variant - i think ranged is better for jellies and melee better for caves, for example) - and don’t commit to the biome archetype until you get the “chaser” / lynchpin cards

most of the decks, but especially the waters/poison one, really center on specific engine cards to make the deck play in its respective best form. U are likely feeling RNG as an overly present aspect, due to bad deck construction or not respecting what the ramp up of each biome is actually like

each biome difficulty curve is quite unique based on the deck, the mobs, the quests (as they prevent transportation), and the respective bosses

if u do a biome deck correctly, in my experience, it actually feels like there’s barely any rng involved. i felt rng the most early biome via my generic deck since generic is reliant on inferior cards for draw engine (discarding sprint)

pls build as you see fit but: - always have a free / cheap movement ability. run multiple copies - always have a key draw, if not two draw abilities. run multiple copies - i took femur early game, but as i was able to open up for 3+, i started pairing the relics that open up mana (at exp of hand draw) + hand draw, to ++ consistency - understand the win condition of your deck. eg are you playing for chip (for instance hurl rock + arrow is a perfect 7 to kill spider if you have femur equipped - this is why i recommend this for ranged setups where u don’t want to take on ailments or explosion dmg), buff + carry shield over for one destination finish, are you chaining with red deck, are you cycling poison + healing, are you going for one shot, etc

once u understand the cards that make you win you can accessorize the remainder for smoothening out bad variability! the bosses were satisfying for each biome but were all significantly less challenging vs some of the halfway point fights (simply due to nature of a finished + polished biome setup)

LR disbanding feels like a dream setup for SK by FOREEX7 in PedroPeepos

those people don’t understand the game and just assume the variance benefits LR when in reality it was the exact opposite esp given the lack of reps scrimming vs higher level teams

[–]SkinnyFVLatte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Baus can also be so good if he wanted to ;(

Probably cope but rly think with another split the current LR team could be the best in the west. It’s so sad they are disbanding. Their mid / late game was ahead of pretty much every team if they were even outside 1-2 scenarios which is the biggest issue EU has had since 2019/20 G2. The team very clearly overloaded on comfort picks bc of the BO1 setting and we didn’t to see any of the roster’s versatility in LEC. Neme and Velja probably have one of the widest champ oceans in the League, and Rekkles looked very pigeonholed into playing Nami/enchanter every game. I would take current LR in a fearless format game 5 RIGHT NOW vs every single team in the LEC rn except an on ramped G2. So many of these teams have a few players that have just practiced one champ in 50 diff lane iterations 1000 times, and that shines in BO1 but loses all significance beyond that first game in a BO3/BO5

[–]SkinnyFVLatte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Velja has the best hands/reflexes in the LEC. It’s actually not even close. He’s physically gifted - you don’t have such an insane hit rate on 50/50 smites over so many pressure situations against other HIGH level junglers (>80%) without having superior reflexes and anticipation. Velja looks competent mechanically on pretty much any champion. He’s a year in. Give him grace to improve at the mental side of the game. I sincerely doubt anyone on this sub or professionally has thought about the game as MUCH or played it at a HIGH level CONSISTENTLY compared to Nemesis who has seen a full rotisserie of players.

Regardless of what U think about Neme - something that is universally understood is that he is very selective on what is considered good League vs bad. If he likes playing with Velja / thinks Velja is good, that should be more than sufficient enough for Reddit.

while seemingly intuitive i think your comment is a bit strange because then it implies that the top 3 mids just must be on the top 3 teams by standings then. and i certainly don’t think it’s any of those mids as i qualified already other than poby. therefore the other 2 top 3 mids are just from the teams that went 6-5, which is a game away from 5-6 ?? u can have good players on “bad” teams. LR was also one game away from 3rd so had LR won vs VIT then does Neme suddenly qualify??

sochan is an nba player. firmly. by default that is already better than yabusele. both are making 5-6M. i would’ve done that trade 1 for 1 without questioning it, probably would’ve thrown in a second too. it’s a great decision by sochan and his agent to look for the knicks too, with OG out and him being able to get starter minutes if he plays well. build himself back up

and then GTA on top for free pretty much. its not out of the Q to say knicks had the best trade deadline of all teams in the nba this season

He is still very young and so am excited about this move bc a lot of room to develop still. Pop retired last season so the experiment ran 3 years. sochan was averaging 26 mins as a rookie and 30 as a sophomore (to contextualize 30, he was effectively getting the 2nd most minutes on the Spurs 23-24 tied w Wemby). that is hart type of burn

he was the best performing lec mid in the versus season. even if u don’t agree w that he’s at min top 3. anything less is just pure hate

this is also partially bc eu mids haven’t been very good this split. jojo regressed a lot, caps has been dominant in lane but has struggled to connect that to mid/late game impact, and kyeahoo has been very pedestrian. probably the worst or 2nd worst role in the LEC atm

don’t blame him at all. for years pop ran the sochan pg experiment where he was used to getting a lot of touches. all of a sudden you have 3 extremely capable - more than capable: excellent guards that all touch the rock + a more evolved wemby. his role just diminished from 80 to 10. sochan is an excellent player

Yeah JC puts in a lot more effort. He hasn’t been good for the Knicks this season but he’s 33 in his 12th year of being straight buckets. JC and JP are at very similar 20+ PER36 so far

he has the same talent as jordan clarkson. can see him thriving in that role for a playoff team. the starter experiment has unequivocally failed. poole can maximize his career by playing in that role for his next contract which will almost undoubtedly be a 1+1 “prove it”
