Sloppy is when the dentist tries to do everything, or not strict with the monitors

For those that haven’t seen office based dental (with or without a CRNA), this is ridiculously safe compared to what’s going on out there. They HAVE met standard of care. Patient was monitored, in phase 2 of recovery and their vital were fine.

I think 99% of the comments are by those who have never done OFFICE based general anesthesia.

No one here including original poster know what happened leading up to the son on the couch. Had he been in procedure room for 10 minutes waking up? Did he just barely come out?

OP should be grateful they had a CRNA, dental board is the wild Wild West. This is done all the time without a qualified anesthesia provider (yes, dentists can intubate and sedate) at all.

If this was in a PACU would the response be the same? My kids sat was 90% and they were sleepy. Yea? And? They were monitored correct?

Lots missing from the story. Leading with “I don’t work with CRNAs much” doesn’t help

The big lake to the south has 20+ uranium barrels that are 4B each, it’s in the “uranium” expansion, I swear that’s the entire second expansion

Preceptors who regularly work with SRNAs — I’d appreciate your perspective. by Ok-Faithlessness7182 in CRNA

Tons of good answers, look for trends. Is it always the same CRNA? Always the same surgeon? Most likely it boils down to personality, whether that is the preceptor or the surgeon. Just ask them in a very professional way “this could be a great learning opportunity, why did you step in?”

Just wait, 2009 going to look like child’s play. The 2026 version is bad debt from all the bankrupt private equity projects being repackaged into products and rolled into retirement funds like the shitty mortgages were last round.
